    Default No Consul

I'm playing the Roman Campaign and I'm in the year 143 now. I haven't had a singel Consul so far and therefore don't get the Marian Reforms.
I tried the give_trait cheat but it doesn't work for me.
Can someone give me a hint or describe how to exactly use the give_trait cheat?
    Thanks.

wow! That's an awfully long time to go w/o a consul at all. I'm not sure of what the character has to do to be named consul, but (from my personal experience) you must have a character who is an excellent administrator or conqueror. You know that a character is a consul potential when he gets elected praetor (which is the office directly below consul).

You won't be able to give traits to your roman generals, because of the way that EB deals with roman names. Pretty much well all roman family members have the last name "Romanvs" and are given their last name via script. Makes it virtually impossible to 'cheat' and add traits to generals for the romans.

Basically any family member over 40 with 1 command, 5 influence and has the Ex Praetor trait, can become a consul. Though it is only one in five chance ever new year to be given the trait 'Consul'.
