How to be Saved and live in Eternal Paradise

I have made a list to show the way to become a true believer. Once you have made this commitment, you have taken a big step in your life. You will be saved for eternity, and live in Heaven. Heaven is no place of boredom as portrayed by various media. It is a place of eternal paradise, where there is no evil, no pain, and no sorrows. It is a place of joy, comfort, and fellowship to those that recieved the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

    1. We are all Sinners
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

    2. The punishment for our Sin is Death
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    3. CHRIST died to Save Sinners
Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

    4. CHRIST will save us IF we ask HIM
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

There are various denominations, with different takes on Christ's message to the world. Which one you choose is up to you. Remember to attend a church that is devout, and by the book (literally, I mean by the book, as in Bible). Beware of false prophets and their blasphemous heresies. Keep your faith strong, and do not lose hope.

If you have not become a Christian, today is the day God has made for you to know Him. Please feel free to ask and I will be happy to share how you can also know and have a relationship with God.

May the Lord bless you if you have taken the time to read through this, and make that commitment.

P.S. I welcome and encourage all non-believers to read and post in this thread. If you do not desire eternal life in paradise though, I politely ask you to refrain from posting, as it may send the wrong message to Christians, or those who have interest in their Salvation. If you have questions on how to be saved, I welcome you to post.

Not to be insulting, but isn't this just a way to try to scare people into conversion. If not, it is a thinnly veiled attempt at pascal's wager.

May I also ask, why would anyone want to live forever. That is one of my greatest fears, to live the repetitious life over and over again.

I wonder, what is heaven like that you can say with such conviction that it is not a horrible existence?
The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days...

He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.

What kind of life is a life without pain and fear? Its how we evolve as human beings, it allows us to truly appreciate the happy moments in life. I do not wish for some paradise where I live forever, incapable of emoting in the full spectrum.

I wouldn't mind having the ability to live forever, as long as I could terminate my existence whenever I wanted. I don't fancy being one of the few unlucky people to die of entropy.

The disease literally dissapeared. This must have been divine intervention from God. Lupus has no cure, even Wikipedia states that.
That's weird. I don't recall diagnosing anyone with Lupus...

Most of you blasphem, and mock the possibility of God existing, the good news, is that he is giving you a chance to repent, and accept his gift of eternal life in Heaven. I cannot emphasize this enough.
LJ, we don't mock the existence of God, we question it.

If everyone blindly accepted religion, where would we be today? Probably off on another Crusade, sword and shield in hand.

    Saved from what?
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."

Heaven is far from a boring, repetitious, monotonous place. Clear all thoughts you had of the stereotypical Heaven. The real Heaven, according to the Bible, is a place of perfection. Every one of those that believes will have new bodies, we will basically look the same, but much more handsome/beautiful. Also, racial variation will still exist, according to one verse in Revalation, which I cannot recall exactly, it makes a reference that there are many people of different appearances in Heaven. The Bible also mentions that we will still be able to eat, even if there is no apparent need to.

One saying that he doesn't wish to enter an eternal paradise after death, is like one saying he does not want to be in a state of complete perfection. Who would want to deny complete perfection and the joys that come with it?

And we wonder why the West is so egotistical when it has a religion that teaches individuals live forever as themselves. Im a very proud person, but im not so conceited that I think im important enough to live forever. A lifetime is more than enough to experience the beauty of life.

And secondly, even if I wanted to live forever, you can't just will something to happen...

How to earn my respect and admiration:

Believe in something. I don't necessarily mean religious. Believe in ethics. Or morals. Or hope. Or progress. Don't be apathetic to everything. In general, just have perspective that focuses on more than yourself and your world. Use this perspective to think about others, understand their needs and injustices. Discern when things are bad or wrong, or could be better, or need to be changed. And when you find them,

Act on your belief. Follow through with what you stand for. Help others. Think about them. Act in ways that don't hurt others and follow whatever personal beliefs you have. And when your beliefs and required actions conflict with those of another,

Respect the freedom of another's mind. We aren't all the same. But a good person is a good person, and a kind act is a kind act. You may disagree with others; if appropriate, you can vocalize this. But you are not helping others or yourself by insisting that you are right and they are wrong. And chances are, this violates your beliefs. Respect for others is critical for respect for yourself, both internally and externally.

Revelation is an accurate, descriptive document? I thought it was all metaphor written by a guy that 'knew' the end of the world, the apocalypse, was going to happen in his lifetime.
If it is descriptive, then I do hope it is correct and that I can witness the end of days. Some of the stuff in that book I have to see.

One who claims he wishes complete perfection and eternal joy, is one who denies the Human experience. To be a human is to feel the strongest of emotions, Negative or Positive. I will never accept paradise if all it has to offer is stagnation, and a reprieve from life's torment. I do not cower when life gives me troubles, I embrace them.

For some of us eyes; "imperfection" is the actual "perfection" (both; in a sense of figure of speech, and in biological sense).

I understand what you're saying. As much as I like singing, standing in the heavenly choir singing "Hallelujah!" chorus for eternity doesn't appeal to me. Also, a city of gold sounds like an aesthetic nightmare, to me, not to mention the fact that gold loses value, the more of it that there is.

However, if one has an eternity of creative existence, and lives on a plane of being beyond time? ....

There are two ways to look at this; either you take biblical stance, and therefore need to take its words almost in literal sense (otherwise you need to question almost everything in the bible, from characters to some of the most basic teachings.). Or you can make a wild guess based on mythical and spiritual supertision and cultural influence.

Either of these choices make little to no sense to me.

Belief is a destination of infinite paths, forks and tribulations.
The point of Heaven is that eternal life in paradise is not such a bad deal. What is the point of easy disease free women?
