How to Defend you walls, Emperor Tom Tactics II
First, you put your archers on the walls and enable them to fire flaming arrows so that you can burn your enemies siege equipment. Then place your heavy infantry on "choke points" where they will most likely engage a Tower or Ladder Crew. Finally, Place some spearmen at the gates just incase they break through.

I find it funny.
You can't understand it if you haven't read a certain other thread here on this board.

Re: How to Defend you walls, Emperor Tom Tactics II
something new. right away
or that is i dont know if its new but:
place 1 or 2 units of Catapults in the streets behind the gate
place spearman at the gates.
if they break trough your spearmen fire burning rocks into the cavalry just breaking trough
ive accomplised burning 30-40 enemy cavalry and 5-10 of my own spearmen(they were almost dead anyway)
works cool if you hit and if you time it right
dont fire too early and you'll only hit you'r own troops
fire too late and you'r catapults will get chopped down by the charging enemy troops
remember to put fire on. its important

Re: How to Defend you walls, Emperor Tom Tactics II
i prefer placing one unit of spearmen infront of the gate and two units on either side that way i stop them and charge their flanks....but everyone probably does that.
Although i have learnt that if they are just too many enemy troops defend in the town square or otherwise you won't get a heroic victory
"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...
