Default Certain factions are the main showpiece of a campaign

I haven't gone through any Kingdoms campaign yet and really can't decide which faction to choose. But it seems like there are cetain factions that are the big showpiece of the different campaigns.

If so, I want to play these factions first and get the full experience. (and I probably won't have time to play every faction)

    What are your opinions?

    Americas: Spain
    Tuetonic: Teutonic Order
    Britannia: Scotland
    Crusades: Antioch and/or Jeursalem

In Americas the Apaches (and Chichimecs to some degree) are also "more special" than the other natives because of their technology stealing stuff. But yeah, Spain is probably the highlight with all the take-orders-from-the-monarch-and-get-more-privileges thing.

Brittania is a kind of toss-up between Scotland and England, because Scotland gets old Wallace while England gets to deal with the pesky Baron's Alliance.

Crusades is more or less balanced out in that each faction gets power centers, special units that require the power centers and generals with special abilities. The only difference is that Antioch and Jerusalem get the Unique units in addition to their specials.

The Teutonic campaign is probably the most even one since at least two/three sides get something special. The Teutonic Order gets the crusading nobles, Norway and Denmark can form the Kalmar Union, while Lithuania (I think?) is dependent on religion to get access to new tech.

Britannia is more of a toss-up, in my opinion

Ireland I guess is the least 'special' as it only has High King Brian

Wales is down there too, with Llywelyn, and a anti-English independence roughly equivalent to that of Ireland's.

Scotland has Wallace, who is one of two video-announced emergent heroes, making them special to say the least.

Norway has many things that remind you that Britannia isn't your home country (rather, Scandinavia is), including features like the King's purse, vikings sent to help, and the eventual invasion by the (usually short-lived) King Hakon and fleet + army.

England has the whole Baron's alliance to deal with, plus Prince Edward dallying off to the Holy Land (and hopefully returning, as he can die on that crusade) for an extra treat.

So, when you take this all into account, you can see that Norway has as much "unique-ness" as England, so either could be highlight factions. However, in this campaign, England is clearly meant to be the highlighted faction.

Teutonics are the most popular because of those decorated helmets, but I prefer those helmets with the noseguards (or whatever I should call them) that Novgorod uses.

I agree, I love the armor for Novgorod!

However, I wouldn't call them a showpiece faction. They are basically a copy of the Russian faction from vanilla, and have no special sequences/events/units. Play them second, I say.

I would have to say England for the Britannia campaign to get the most out of it i.e fighting the barons alliance.
