It takes 1,5 GB per 5 seconds if you make it fullscreen, but with my recommended and default settings 720 x 480 it'll be 400MB per 10 seconds only.
I tryed to do all the things the tuturial says but all it does is like ruin my game. The screen does not fit the screen and when ever i went on to play the main screen was different. and the cinamatic editor doesnt even launch.Ive tryed this like 3 times. Then i just gave up and reinstalled both M2TW and M2TWK because they were skrewed up.What going on?
:hmmm:
quite a lot of tutorials you got there xD
but I have still got another question: I have reinstalled windows a few days ago and therefore I do no more have my old cfg files...and I can't remember what they looked like.
so my question is: which lines do I need so that I can start the cinematic editor with the graphic settings, I'm using ingame?
Prof's Mods (Attila Mods)
Creator of Polemarchia: Total War
Under the patronace of Epistolary Richard
<- Now with Attila screens
A lot of tutorials? Yeah, probably you're rightHowever during the next two days there will be another video tutorial added that teachs you how to use the Cinematic Editor with Kingdoms and with mods and it also includes some tips
Do you want to have your default graphic settings in the edit.cfg or render.cfg?
I guess you mean the edit.cfg - then you should at first redownload the rar-file in the original post (I've updated them yesterday and fixed some problem) and then go to the following lines:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
These are the graphic settings used by the cinematic editor.
If you now open the medieval2.preference.cfg in the Medieval 2 installation folder, you can copy and paste the appendant lines from the medieval2.preference.cfg into the edit.cfg. For me it looks like that:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I'd suggest to copy and paste line by line to keep the structure of the edit.cfg content, but I'll leave that to you^^

Hi, im a new user of the cin ed. And I have tried making my first animation. My problem is that my .avi file is really slow! Loads of lag! How can I make a smooth peice of video? I tried altering the with and hight in the render and editor configs but that doesnt do much.
Thx for any feedback!![]()
Hey Mantock. Welcome to the forums!
Here the answer:
The CineEd renders the video in an uncompressed format. Hence, the video file is very big, several GB's per minute. That is too much information for most of todays CPU's and it will slow down the video speed to it's limit. Some video players wont play the files at all. You can still use the shots for video editing or you can compress them at first, using a video editing software.
Hi All
I am whondering why my rendered avi is sooooooooo slow!
Ive tried messing around with the resolutions but that doesnt do much. How can I make a smooth playback and not 1 that is all jolty?
Is this a general question-if it is, can somone giv me a thread that talks about this problem?
thx for all feedback!![]()
Oh, kk thx! i didnt see ur new post.
So I need to compress the avi file? What programs can I use to do that?
(freebee programs)![]()
I apologize if this has already been asked, but I can't seem to get the timeline open when I run Cine Ed. I get the view of the battlefield and all of that but no timeline. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks.
Hey,
I'm running on a windows 7 system. I have no default replays or cameras folder in the Medieval 2 directory, are you supposed to create them manually or should they already be in the directory?
I have instaled cine-editor, but "batch" file not work![]()
Hi all !
I've a question about CinEd. I simply don't find my replays !all my folders (mods or main folder) are empty, even if I've some recorded replays.
I'm using Kingdoms and Vista 32bits.
yeh you gotta search in the subfolder /mods/<kingdoms_campaign_name>/replays/
so for instance, if you play the crusades campaign, you gotta open the path /mods/crusades/replays/
@DisgruntledGoat: thanks for the info! i edited part of it into the thread's originial post..
btw. I'm rarely at my computer at the moment. so i havnt got much time to answer your questions, especially the comments on youtube... but i'll answer as soon as i've got time...
whenever i try to start the "cin-ed_edit" message shows up
"C:\Program Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War\cin-ed_edit.bat is not a valid Win32 application" What does that mean????????
