    ==> Gigas Coco

Have you brought the name of your file corresponding to replay your recording ?
And check whether the path to that file for the execution of the editor is correct ?

    Hey!
    Just one little question,
Do these video clips work with Windows Movie Maker?

sure why not. it depends on your codecs you have installed on your PC. (i would suggest the K-Lite Codec Pack (free) by the way)

    Okey thanks!

But may I ask few other questions,
    1) What kind file is that video in Cinematic Editor? avi?
    2) What would be good program for making a video? (I mean like Windows Movie maker but better)
Program where I could edit those videos and make them great looking.
    3) How Dee made his 'logo'? (I mean, that little clip in beginning of his great vid?

    Hello,

    1) Yes, the video made with the Cinematic Editor is AVI.
Attention , you need to have enough space on your hard disk for video capture.
On average, I have 100GB of raw AVI file.
After that it is possible to compress files in VirtualDub for example.

    2) The video editing software that are interesting are:
Sony Vegas, Pinnacle Studio, Magix video delux, Corel studio, Cybelink Power Director etc...
And their prices are not high.

    3) I used Adobe After Effects for the Logo. After testing several dozen hours and watching numerous tutorials on videocopilot.net I was able to make the intro video

legal copy. but you can have a 30 days trial with full features.

and if someone needs help - there are a lot of guys that can help you
creating an intro or "make your videos look great".

Okey, Huge thanks for everybody to you for great advice.
Maybe soon I will be able to make my own video.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
But I have anymore only few things in my mind...
    1. I was wondering about D's lighting. They were awesome, but how is it possiable to make it?
In the vid, night chanced to day and clouds and fogs... Just awesome.

    2. Is it possiable to chance the background on the vid?
I mean when I have video for example about soldiers walking, can I add something behind them, hmm.. Like in Third Age mod e.g. Mt. Doom?

    3. And at somevids there are just one unit. Like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piekpSdFVOQ ,
How is it possiable to make it?

    Answer Question 1: After Effects
Answer Question 2: After Effects or direct Rotoscoping and Masking (but very tricky and hard)
Answer Question 2: i used single units in a few of my videos too but i'm pretty sure there is no way but let them fight until all units are dead exept of one / than take your shots

The lightning has been done with the after effects plug-in "Trapcode Shine" and the clouds with "Trapcode Particular". They are very expensive plug-ins but they are worth their money
You can change the background with keying, too. If you have an uniform background like a blue sky you can "bluescreen" the background, with the after effects plug-in "keylight" for example.

uhm, there are many possibilities. Did you read through the FAQ in the first post of this thread? most issues are answered there

I'm having trouble getting the cinematic editor working in Windows 7 64-bit, I migrated my MTWII folder including mod folders from Vista and eveything is working tickety-boo except for when I try and launch cin-ed.bat I'm getting the loading screen then CTD. Disabled the UAC, but can't really remember if I'd altered anything else in Vista to get it to work that would now also apply to 7 ?

Any takers ? Thanks in advance.

Hey Yelü, I have yet to install Windows 7 on my machine. I'll do so when my hdd comes back from warranty in the next weeks. I'll take a look at it then.

since it's a kingdoms mod you will need to change the line in cine-ed.bat's to kingdoms.exe
how to do that is explained in the mod tutorial or written in the original post of this thread
