I think i said the problem wrong because im new to the forms. when i open the cinima editor i can't get the (editor window/ Aka/ timeline) to open but when i look at the task bar it says that it is active and when i click on it nothing happens.also i belief the program name for the timeline is cined on the task bar. i am sory if this has been asked before but im not sure what to look for in the FAQ... Also if you know the setings for vista could you post them i am sorry for all the fuss i am making.....
Ok, then I don't know the answer. I've never heard the issue that people can't open the "CineEd" window (yeah, it's called "CineEd") by clicking on the task bar. What does the "Medieval2" window show anyway? Do you see the game menu or did it load directly into the battle where the camera is put below the ground? If so, can you turn the camera by pressing-and-holding the right mouse?

@ Irish tactitian: Weird, that looks completely fine. It should work fine, as long as your camera group is called Group1.cameraGroupXml and is placed at that path you wrote in the render.cfg (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\cameras\). Btw. you must not delete the .cam-files if you use the camera groups. The camera group just links to the .cam-file and does not replace it.
Have you tried to render a single camera, not the whole group?

Hi, first of all thx for the great work, im just taking my first steps with CineEd today

    I already did some working screenshots, but now i've got a problem;
When rendering my camera group, it gives me rendered shortmovies from below the ground, the point where the camera starts when you first enter the edit.bat
Why is that? I arranged every camera like in the tutorial (setting the keyframe with the mouse, then black bars as close as possible to the current point in time) and it worked fine before
    Any help?

Ok i figured it out. Seems like i simply linked it wrong in the render.bat, or something.
    Noob Misstake, thx anyway

    Hi there!
Well I'll having problems with starting the CinEd with the mod Third_Age. I've checked and I have rewritten the files correctly, as explained in the tutorial. However whenever I click on the bat file, I get the message saying: M2 has encountered an error and must exit, or something like that. Has anyone any experience in using cinEd in Third_Age? Do I have to install it the M2 way or else follow the Kingdoms tutorial?

    Cheers!

Since Third Age is a Kingdoms mod you need to change the name of the exe in the mod_cine-ed-files into Kingdoms.exe
It's explained in the mod tutorial, just the same way I worked with the Stainless Steel cine-ed-files in the tutorial.

Ok, done that. Now I don't even get a message saying M2 is closing: it just closes automatically after the Third Age Total War screen appears.

    EDIT:

Might it not work because it's not compatible with TATW 1.1? I have also other submods installed... maybe they are interferring?

we all went trough this, man. but once you got it running you couldn't
stop. so give it a shot and if it wont start use Dneed's instructions
and my little tutorial for TATW.

yeah, but it is hard work to learn everything that. Little mistake somewhere and nothing wont work.

But I have glance your and Dneed's tutorial and they seems pritty good. At least I even know something about making video, but I havent downloaded that program yet.

But someday I will and then I make my own video. But there is much more reading and wondering before I can work.

Hey, i have gotten both the v2 v3 updates. I have tried to use the editor and I have double and triple checked all the inputs. Every time I have tried to use the editor, it bring up the splash screen then terminates the program.
