Which MOD should I use now??

Hi all,

I've been playing M2TW with all the patches (1.2 & 1.3) for full year now and I love it. The so-called vanilla edition is very good and as I said I like it very much. I still don't know why you guys call it "vanilla". Its funny. Now, what I need to ask you is what MOD can you recommend me. After playing "vanilla" for so long and definitely enjoying it 110 % I feel that I am now ready for some of the MODS that you guys have been discussing on the forum. Let me just say that I need something very challenging, very hard, and interesting at the same time. I have been Total War series fan since the Shogun TW. And also I should say that I can commit many hours to the game and it will be played religiously. So, what is it that you guys recommend?? I appreciate any comments, advices and recommendations. Thank you very much in advance.

Let me just say that it is extremely hard, and extremely challenging to look at other posts, and realise that this will be closed and that you should have posted this in the mod recommendations thread.

And, to answer you,

Deus lo Vult and Stainless Steel are fun, but challenging, and long.

I'd recommend PDER (Pro Deo et Rege). It is by far my favorite mod so far.

Also, Broken Crescent looks like it will soon be released, and it will probably be the best mod out there for ME2 when it does come out, hopefully soon as they are on their last pre-release task.

I'd suggest Stainless Steel 5.1

If you don't have Kingdoms, your options are going to be limited in terms of mod availability, as many of the newer versions require Kingdoms, such as SS 5.1, LTC Gold and I think DLV. Anyhow, my vote goes to Stainless Steel. Even if you're playing 4.1 (the non-Kingdoms version) its a great game.
