LAN battles

I noticed in the readme that you can only play LAN battles. I just never see anyone on. I really want to play against someone in SPQR so badly. Does anyone even go on LAN?:hmmm:

could you write gmt +1 or 0 or -1 cause mid western doesnt mean nothing to me

Online like online is not online like LAN i believe...tho we might need the clarification from the Highest one ) tho id LOVE to play alas on lan

LAN means local area connection. That means with a network in your house for instance. Thus, for example I cannot play LAN with you.

i know what lan means its just it looked to me like some of those guys were wanting to play online

unless you download hamachi, a program that emulates llan over the internet... but it's dangerous if anybody on the network has a virus...

Right hamachi emulates it pretty well yet has some very bad issues with UDP, Firewalls and port settings...still id like to hear word from LT about this...

We still do want to play online. But im not sure if it is possible...Thus Id like to hear that from lt himself

We did hear that from lt himself, and also Jegui and I tried a while ago. It doesn't work.

It's not a problem. I have a friend of mine, Who also likes playing RTW. I together with him rent an appartment and he has his own computer as I do. SO we have a little LAN connection between our two computers. It would be great to play with him in RTW on LAN. Thus, time isn't an important issue for me and him.
I agree that online playing(on internet) will be freakin' long and boring. BUt LAN is a little another stuff.
