    Default Temporary CTD Revolt Fix

This is a manual temporary fix for CTD which is caused by city revolting. It hasn't be extensively tested so it cannot guarantee to fix for every situation regarding revolt CTD.

No longer applicable for TIC 1.1

Please see post # 5 for latest fix for TIC 1.1

Warning ! : This is not an official RTR VII - The Iberian Confict patch and only to be use if CTD happened during your TIC campaign.

55 downloads and one comment ?

Anyway, just a question. Has anyone been using this fix at the start of campaign and continue using it (without reverting it back to the Ori file) ? This is because I would like to know whether using this method bring some strange or unbalance problem (like AI spamming general units) or player has been abusing this feature (recruitable general from core buildings) to spam general units ?

    Any feedback on this ?

The patch LestaT made is not compatible with the TIC patch v1.1. Here`s an updated version:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/99371853...ix_v2.rar.html
I haven`t tested it yet so let me know if there are any issues.
It is basically the same thing as the previous one in term of the solution used. The generals of the lusitanians, carthaginians, celtiberians, saguntum and turdetanians have been made recruitable from all 5 levels of the government buildings. As with the previous fix, their recruiting cost has been raised to 25000(may differ according to unit size I think) and their training time was raised to 10 turns. The raising of the upkeep to 500 that was present in LestaT`s fix was not included.
Basically they`re not intented to be recruited(not easily anyway), but to get spowned by the game when a settlement revolts to another faction.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. decompress the file.
    2. copy the folder named TIC inside the game folder where you have installed the mod. You will be asked if you want to overwrite the existing files. Say yes.

Note#1: make a backup of the following two files so you can revert the changes if needed:
    export_descr_buildings
    export_descr_unit
(both found in this location: Rome - Total War\TIC\data)

Note#2: the fix should be saved game compatible so you could skipp it from the start and only add it when the ctd occurs(you`d need a saved game prior to the crush obviously). Still, backup your saved games before trying the fix. Just in case.
