what formation do you use? army composition?

I keep my artillery right at the front in gaps between the lead ranks with covering units either behind or formed up infront

Well for my Rahala I like to use Alexandrian Hammer and Anvil tactics.

the artillery can fire constantly at maxium range and in all my time using this formation I have never had to withdraw my artillery crews away from the battle

I pretty much use the same basic formation for every mod/faction I play. The key really is to be adaptable, not only in battle, but also campaign wise. I tend to take a strong force of spear men to man my front line and the best sword men I have to fan out and take the enemy flanks. My missile units, depending on whether they're peltasts or archers are positioned either in front of my line (archers) or behind (peltasts), Archers are always set to retreat behind the line when the enemy get close and are set to stand once they do. Peltasts once their javelins are used are generally then sent wide to the flanks.

Cavalry I rarely use unless it's an elite unit and even then only as an extra flanking force once the sword men are engaged, out flanking your enemy is the best tactic imo.

My general I tend to hold back to support the middle.

I've left three unit slots blank in the graphic, basically these are filled depending on the faction I'm facing, if they tend to use Phalanx I'll fill that space with heavy sword men, if they lean toward cavalry, then I'll take more spears, if they use horse archers then I'll take the best archers I can, flexibility. Of course if I have the funds and time I'll just put out an elite force of my two best units, infantry and cavalry, and if I have horse archers I'll send out 19 units of them..

I just re-downloaded this and started playing it again. Man this game is awesome, I started a campaign as the Severin and am kicking butt. Great Work Halie and Mak!

Modders of this Mod you should have made units like in the Underworld movie the Vampire Knights their armor are really cool just a suggestion

i saw a dracula movie and the armor looks the same as the units

What about new versions of EOD II? Or probably new provincial campaigns?

Myself and Mak have moved on now, so no new versions are planned. The year jump script alone should give you a constantly new campaigns to play.
