Yes i have 1.6 on BI and 1.5 on normal
Hmm, well if your vanilla game works then it must be a corrupt download, unlikely as that is I can't think of any other reason, it works for everyone else.
Do you have any other mods installed?
All I can suggest is DL'ing it again.
Sorry.
@ccc
sorry you are having problems, this isn't something we've come across before, as Halie said maybe try downloading again, anyway definitely try running the installer again (that can't hurt anything) if you're still getting same error try changing the audio settings in your normal games options, the type of 'sound provider' it might be you are on something unusual so have found a problem we've not encountered yet....

Wow, this is an extremely fun mod,I can't believe I waited so long to try it out.
This is really, really great work.
Your happy, We're happy.![]()
I have to congratulate you for making the most unique Rome mod that has been created. I've tried out sooo many Rome mods, but this one, is truly unique. No other mod gets near it, and no, not even the Lotr mod.
Your mod is something really special
Congratulations ^^
PS:
Halie's admin badge gone? Hmmm... I wonder why :hmmm:

I'm itching to play this, but how do you actually get the mod to run? There's no separate start-up, and when I launch BI it's just the normal game. Do I need to launch normal, unexpanded Rome or what?
It should have created a new desktop shortcut for you (black wolfish shape on square red background) if it didn't you could either try running the installer again, or making your own second shortcut to the BI.exe.
If you make own shortcut you need to add
-show_err -nm -mod:bi/eod2
to the properties line, with a space before the first -
the -mod:bi/eod2 bit is the important bit that makes it run the mod instead of original game, but the other bits are advisable.

Oh right, cheers. My desktop is modified to like an Apple one, so I can't see desktop icons. Thanks for telling me+rep for the mod
great mod, im having fun, but the bad diplomacy that plagues the Total War games is kind of spoiling it for me.
As one of the vampyre factions im having trouble making the soul eater faction my protectorate, they only have a handful of provinces and im offering several cities along with hundreds of thousands of gold, they keep rejecting.... any pro-tips?
Diplomacy is a wash out yeh. Assuming your playing as the Rahala(?) annihilate the Soul eaters and secure the south, the Severin have a habit of expanding that way before launching an invasion of your homelands.
it seems strange that there wouldnt at least be some little known trick, cheat or technical glitch one could exploit to kind of "fix" diplomacy.
I'd like to try giving the soul eaters millions of coins and many cities, maybe theyll accept then.
as for expanding north, well again, i have no real choice...the bad AI/diplomacy of the Total War games ensures that no treaty ever lasts and that ill be at war with everyone soon enough.
at war with lycans, talamasca, soul eaters who are allied with severin...which means theryll send some armies down to attack me soon too.
edit: i went ingame and did it, it worked. I gave them a million coins along with 3 cities, and it worked. See, i knew CA didn't completely bork diplomacy, they'll accept protectorate once in awhile, you just have to cheat and give yourself ungodly amounts of gold before they'll accept.

There is the 'force diplomacy' command cheat, never used it myself so not sure how it works or the limitations..it seems strange that there wouldnt at least be some little known trick, cheat or technical glitch one could exploit to kind of "fix" diplomacy.
y'know a lot of the problem was solved by just not starting the first game as the rahala, they are right in the middle of everyone and not he best choice for a first game.
I'm playing the lycans and its much better for a first playthrough, i'm guessing the talamasca and severin are equally as good a choice for a first playthrough. I might have unwittingly chosen the most difficult faction starting out.
A'yup, the Rahala are probably the hardest of the main factions, The Lycans are easier in terms of positioning but probably have the hardest time quicker than any of the others as the Severin come put all guns blazing (so to speak) .. Your Horse archers will be your strongest unit early on but don't leave building the higher barracks/stable/ranges to long or you'll find yourself in serious trouble..
The Talamasca were probably my personal favourite faction though they have to really fight their way out of that corner, especially if you let the Druids get a foothold in the forbidden mountains, the Severin are probably the easiest overall..
I've yet to play all the smaller factions, 'Soul Eaters, Druids, Ghost-men, Zombies', but even the short games I played in testing were really hard..
yeah, I'm either going with the druids or talamasca next. I didnt realize that talamasca got cool-looking knights, i felt really bad having to kill so many with my subai bodyguards.
