    Default Non-fatal Errors - report

Just keeping a little notepad here, I do not suppose I will get time to be thorough but might as well make it visible

    * Slingers (at least the Caetrati and Balearic (custom battles)) not added to descr_sounds_units_fire.txt file and thus bow sounds rather than sling sounds still accompanying weapon

    * Tax Collector/Administration Centre using same images (that of a vanilla archery range)

    * Line 3312 of EDB, faction requirement listing missing final space after comma (can cause issues)

    * recruits_morale_bonus capability in EDB - I believe this has been shown to not function, though I have not updated the EDB Guide on this matter as of yet.

    Thank you MoN,
We have a bug center already set up at modcenter which we use- that makes keeping track on things very easy.

    cheers

Modcenter is very slow whenever I have visited. I went back the other day and it was down for maintenance. I hope RTR is not continuing the curse of slow/unreliable forum hosting

Anyway, things you may have already reported on your forums:

    * your minimap area is spilling into your interface which causes "The Sea" to appear in the far-left unit card mouseover text

    * Celtiberian Scutarii Mercs (carthage) have no voice

    * The winter campaign trait reduces generals' MPs by 50% but this obviously does not affect non-general armies which makes it seem very inconsistent. Why not reduce the MPs globally by 50% via desc character file and then give the generals a summer campaign trait with a bonus of 50%. Thus the player will become more dependent upon his generals to lead his armies and there'll be no inconsistency in captains being able to travel further in the winter then their better-trained and more experienced superior officers

To add to this. The Punic Thureophoroi have been coded in with pilum but they clearly have plain javelins as part of the model.

Can you provide any more information on this? Do you know the exact cause of the problem, i.e. something wrong with stratpage_01.tga or radar_map1.tga or ???

I agree, because a RTR member (Brusilov I think) has said to me the new skies are only in the campaign... But it seems no, look a one of my campaign's screens :

Maybe they were left unused for this release. I activated them and the blue skies are more like this now:

    Are you sure ?
Because the member of RTR VII who spoke with me about the skies has said they are from M2TW... and those are good indeed, but no like M2TW...

As I uninstalled MTW2 after about 1.5 hours of play I cannot look them up

The cloud files in TIC are not vanilla, but neither are they packed so the mod is still reading the vanilla cloud folder I think.

I'm quite sure they are - I remember reading it in a post somewhere. If I find the post I will include a link (if it's not in the dev / beta test forum that is).

Edted: I found it - by MCM no less..

Also, as far as I can see the scutarii falcata have been coded in EDU with the mercenary_unit attribute. And I mean all of them, not just the aor units. Which leaves the faction version of the skin unused as the only one taken is the merc texture from that DMB entry(because of the fact that they all are mercs in effect).

I took the cloud files directly from the M2 and ported three of the skies to the skybox format that RTW uses. Unfortunately there are two main problems with this-

    1) They weren't successfully implemented into this release really (no idea about the custom battles but most screenshots I see have the vanilla skies)
    2) The game uses the "light sky" skybox about 90% of the time, so you rarely see the other two (both of which look better, in my opinion).

The only difference between the M2 originals and the ones imported into RTW (when correctly installed) is that the resolution is about 50% of the original.

But you can use those from EB ? There are really beautiful...

No disrespect intended, but they're not my cup of tea. That said I'm sure many other people enjoy them, which is great.

All of this talk has prompted me to get some screens of my favorite skybox of the three, though-

    High Resolution

A real shame the implementation of these was botched for the TIC release - I'd like to have released them as a separate pack, but I've been told that's not an option at present. Oh well.

Well, it's only mine in the sense I rigged it for the Rome engine - the true artistic credit would go to Creative Assembly, who did a wonderful job with these.

I hope this will be fix soon
    Me too!
