Installation issue

When I try to install this Mod it comes up with "unable to create this file" for almost every single thing it trys to install. I use to have this mod and I love it. any suggestions?

i am not an expert but i would suggest u to download again the installer of the mod.an other solution would be to install the game to an other pc (yours or a friend's) and then try to install the mod u downloaded. if u have the same message then u have to download again the mod because the one u have will not work in any pc in the world.

Is your RTW installation correctly patched to the version required for this mod?

I have this same problem. Is it anything to do with the fact that i am using vista and RTW gold?

I found a solution to this problem on the medieval 2 total war forum. You have to install it to a separate folder and copy that folder into your rome directory. It cos of vistasecurity issues

But even after doing that i get the same problem i get with loads of other mods - the game crashes to windows once you try to select what faction you are going to play on the imperial campaign. The only 2 mods which dont do this are roma surrectum and rtr. I think it must be a compatibility issue with vista. Anyone got any ideas on this? If im right, as more people upgrade to vista they wont be able to play any of these mods!
