In the vanilla game, if there is an AI faction with some power, does it ever sail to America?
i don't know, i've never gotten that far in medieval.. i normally never finish a campaign lol
i have never seen it. Of course by that event there are few European a1 left, maybe 6 strong factions and usually one controls the western european seaboard
I was thinking of letting Spain for some other western faction survive and thrive in my next campaign, but only if they make use of the mercy and sail to America.
I want to go to America and fight another factiuon for the rights to the natives. Possibly ally with Aztec and fight the other faction.
Are there any mods that make the AI better at colonizing america and just generally better at naval invasions?

I know that in Stainless Steel naval invasions occur a lot more than in a vanilla game. But I haven't had the event occur yet in any of my games.
I have never seen the A.I sail to America in all my campaigns i have played and i don't normally became a superpower perverting the from doing so ether.
my mod includes America though the AI is spawned there with a script as the AI only seems to send merchants.

How do AI sailed to America? It fails to even transport troops across the English channel.

The AI ain“t going to America because it is to far away, if u increase the distance that ships can sail per turn they will go there.
i colonised the americas and initiated diplomatic relations with the natives there, granting them land in armenia, in the hopes that their high morale troopers would be able to take on the the papacy presence there

Do they manage to hold on to their settlements? They should have a lot of public order difficulties: max distance to capital penalty, lots of religious unrest (although their temple gives a huge bonus to their religion) and a lack of most public order buildings.
