Im personally torn on the subject.
On one hand All Things Must Pass is an almost flawless album marking the pinnacle of Harrison's career, but on the other John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is probably the most genuine music I have ever heard. Then Lennon followed it up with the powerful Imagine.
Paul McCartney is my favorite Beatle, but without Lennon his songs just don't seem to really go anywhere. He put out a lot of good music, but a vast majority of his work is forgettable.
Aside from self-titled Ringo, I would say Ringo's career is mostly a joke. It has some good work, but like McCartney its mostly forgettable.

I can only assume Ringo gets his votes for narrating 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. (You did only say 'career', not specifically 'musical career'...).
I guess they are well deserved votes, looking at it like that.
Ah true, I hadn't even considered Ringo's movie career. Certainly fair game though for those that thought of it.
Of course Lennon was pompous. He was one of the greatest songwriters of all times. And he made sure to remind people of it. Personally I can understand why people would dislike him, but personality shouldn't get in the way of great music. Just to point out, I loved Ringo Starr's narration in Thomas: The Tank Engine. So, that's perhaps all I know about him, and in fact, all about Beatles' career outside the music world.

Paul McCartney gets my vote, but just because of longevity. If John was still with us I have no doubt that his career would have surpassed the rest.
George Harrison, simply because he produced "Monty Python's Life of Brian".

Paul's songs for the Beatles are generally my favorites, but Im not sure his solo work really compares.
He does have his fair share of great work, another day being my favorite, but I just feel a lot of his songs don't go anywhere, often sliding from jovial to trivial.
Harrison's early solo work was all that had been held back as a Beatle.
McCartney's work was very much the same as it had been, minus the tune ups from Lennon.
Ringo just had his friends right him some stuff and called it his own.
Lennon took his solo career in an entirely new direction experimenting with things the Beatles never touched. Which makes sense seeing as he was the one who was so intent on having a solo career.
*Of course these are just my opinions, music is rather subjective.
