Thinking though, Mongolians were predominantly horsemen, not sure I want to add more Cavalry, tbh there will be very little cavalry in this mod, and what there is will cost an arm and a leg..

Maybe as a Merc unit..I still have space for Merc and they should be fairly unique.

I remember Mongolian Barbarians in the psp game - they may have been in the film for a few seconds. Anyway they were just a type of very heavy infantry with a sabre/scimitar style sword and weird hybrid bamboo/metal shield.

I'll probably base them on the pic in my previous post and make them Merc's, which can be assigned faction specific in Alexander based mods..,

Rhino's are unlikely, never say never though..

A'yup, bit of a gutter all right, though Walcott did bang in two the same day, every cloud as they say..

As promised ''Mongolian Mercs'' who can only be recruited by Persia, which with my current thinking may not be a playable faction with the first release. (thought I'd sneak that in now))



Anyhoo, if anyone has ideas for other Merc units let me know, I have a pool I can use but if there's anyone/thing you guys want to see (and fits the time scale) say so now.. Helps if you have a reference pic..

Just wondering...when you got guys like Xerxes in this mod, how will he appear in battles. I mean is he mounted to the huge throne, does he have a horse or is he on foot? I'm not too familiar with the 'hero' system of Alexander so that just popped to my mind.

It's possible with Alex to have Xerxes fight in battles anyway you want, the throne is a nice Idea and quite possible to make, but I don't think I'm going to bother..I think he'll be stationed in one of the Persian cities rather than a field general, when .. if .. you attack the city he'll fight on foot.

I'm going to stick with the skins as they are for now, maybe change some things later, it depends how they look in game..
