    Default philosophy suited too governance

what major philosophy ( yes you can choose religious philosophy but only argue it from the philosophical standpoint) would be the most beneficial to human society as a whole?

or even what direction society will likely take given our current world philosophy state. will it degrade into a mindless morass of homogenous ideas ? or will one thought process come into prominence?

I think ive posted this before but I havent done a topic in awhile and im quite lazy -- so add whatever thoughts you would like to this topic personally this is my take.

a buddhist type philosophy with reverence to scientists and scientific thought; mixed with a kind of multi religious spirituality ( for those who will without doubt cling to religious icons)

Liberalism ala John Stuart Mill, albeit with a more compassionate form of utilitarianism. I think it's the absolute best way to rule people, by giving them the freedoms they need to truly reach potential. I honestly think that the vast advances of society would not have happened without liberalism or the enlightenment.

Mix, to jump off Boeing, the utilitarianism of communism and the freedom of anarchy and, assuming you have the resources and stability to make it so, I can not think of a more appealing system. A global government with few dangerous outside enemies (ex. hostile space aliens, a powerful capitalist or religious fundamentalist paramilitary movement) is a necessity to maintain such a system.

will the individual become more or less prominent as the focus of society as time goes on?

the individual will probably be more prominent if that's possible. The more self-involved people are, the less likely they will know whats going on in politics etc.

The individual is important, but stressing responsibility of the whole is what would be needed.
