Are the numbers on day 1 really that critical? Or is it the numbers on day 90 that really make a difference?
Late next week we should be in a position to list at least one other, if not more, official mirrors for the download.
Roman_Man#3 - free downloads, multiple uploads, description pages, no registration required, and metrics?? Cool...could you please share or send list of recommended sites. PM or here - would be great. Thanks for the info in advance.
how many downloads did 6.0 get i wonder ? hard to tell as it was on so many sites, but im sure once this mod is on filefront or sumthink the downloads will get much bigger, saying that tho, 6.0 was a complete mod so i doubt IC will ever overtake the previous complete package that is 6.0
the numbers do not always say the truth. for example i have downloaded the same mod 3 or 4 times sometimes. if i could not find the dvd i had it or was lazy to search for it, i downloaded it again and again. but the site plays an important role also i suppose. plus the mod isn't 100Mb for instance, so it takes more time compare to other mods to be downloaded.i downloaded everything. very impressive work guys. u r great!

Τακτική είναι να ξέρεις τι να κάνεις αν υπάρχει κάτι που μπορείς να κάνεις.
Στρατηγική είναι να ξέρεις τι να κάνεις όταν δεν υπάρχει τίποτα να κάνεις.
Agisilaos is correct - numbers can be misleading.
For example: Sites that don't require some type of login or graphic character based human validation may be targets for denial of service type attacks as thousands of download requests get submitted, started and then halted - it's a way of tying up servers, stealing bandwidth etc. Does each request like this constitute a download for counting?
So - let's not focus on the numbers right now! Let's focus on the PLAYING!

Yep, RTW is old news now and a large share of those who downloaded RTR 6 will have drifted off to other things. That said, the ones that remain are no doubt more dedicated (read picky) to the time frame . So, we're modding for a different audience now, that much is certain. That said, we hope we can draw back in those who left "Rome" a long time ago.

Wow, this mean that in this forum are registered around 100.000 members ( im not saying 200.000, coz as many others said, one person is abble to download the mod more than 1 time ). But i dont think RTR7 would have 20-30% or RTR6. I mean, RTR7 is one of the "greatest" mod ever, not saying "the greatest"...Btw, i hope modding dont become a boring thing to do, but a fun one
....Thank for everything Macedon. Have a nice day...Kalo mire
I disagree, if the 'engine' is good enough people will still play it. I play a game called Grand Prix Legends which was launched in 1998! It's a simulation of the 1967 Grand Prix season (the last before slick tyres and wings were introduced).
There have been a number of patches released to handle pentium computers(!). The modding community also create new tracks and cars (including different years). They have released 1965, 1966 and 1969 all with different cars.
This is a sample of the in-car (in game) shots from the recently released 1966 mod;
This is from the replay facility (also 1966);
Another one from Monaco (still 1966 but an older Ferrari 246);
