    Default Adoption Isuue

You know when we as human players run out family members or generals, we have the option to adopt some young men or good captains into our blood. Is AI granted the same power? I mean if AI factions can have new free family members or generals when their generals and family members continually get killed.

I am playing on Hard/Very Hard with SS5.1, Hotfix, Lusted final AI and No boarder. I, England, captured all 5 cities in Northern France including Paris and surrounded the new French King (I had killed several French kings and heirs in battles by that time) in Bruges. When I captured Bruges, the French king dead. And I received a massage said the France faction was destroyed! You know France still had 6~7 settlements in south at that time and it was only my 25th turn in game. I originally wanted to fight a “ One- hundred-year War” with France.

I also noticed that AI always is lack of generals since its armies are normally leaded by captains. Are there any ways to increase the appearance frequency of AI’s generals? I doubt anyone here enjoys fighting “captains”.

I don’t know if this is an AI issue or not, so I created a new thread.

They can only recruit one per turn if they can.You rush too fast give them time and you will have 100 year war instead 12 y war.As I remember in Lusted LTC was house rule that you not engage enemy before 40-60 turns if you wan't real challenge (if you play early campaign). My gameis now after 60 turns and I have to fight endless stack of enemy if I want to conquer something and AI defend settelments with full stacks .No more one army conquer vhole kingdom

Each male member of the family is limited to four progeny by the family tree settings for children in descr_campaign_db.xml. This includes adoptions. I have upped this to 5 and 6 (currentlY) but I have not figured out how to make the family tree show more than 4.

It is not an issue about challenging. It is challenging with Lusted AI. I just can not help thinking if AIs have too few generals to lead their armies.

By the way, I am playing Late Era. I went to war on France at the 2nd turn.

Stil you have to wait .AI need time to grow/adopt generals. I have only 10 adults (19 provinces ) after 70th turn so AI after 25 could have (adopted) 4-8 (princesss and young sons of king are not counted). Two youngest sons of king are about to come of age after 25 turns (im playing France now).If princess is not married France can have only 6 generals if it is up to 9.

If you're playing late era, just build up yourself for 10~20 turns, then start attacking. You'll be surprised by the amount of units the enemy can muster to challenge your forces.

Again, it is not an issue about challenging. Lusted AI is by far the greatest AI I have ever experienced. It is challenging and of great funs. Massive army is not the only thing AI has now. Let me tell you guys something that I have experienced in my short play (25 turns):

    • I had to deal with full stack battles every turn since the 4th turn (I raised the war on France at 2nd turn).
    • As the war was going hotter in France, I did not have enough manpower in a few turns to take over Wales as the Council asking. So I just wanted to leave it for a while. Then Scottish sailed there and took it over right under my nose at the 7th turn! And I barely could do anything about it because I could not afford another war at that time if it would be like the one in France.
    • A sneaky full stack army of Denmark landed and tried to capture my nearly empty capital London and got destroyed by my reinforcements back from Northern France. That was a close one since I got my hands full with the war going on in France.
    • HRE and Russia took the advantage when Denmark went seafaring and declared war on Denmark at the very next turn. Denmark then quickly sent request for ceasing fire with Russia and me. I had to accept because I got no money or manpower to wage another war. Russia accepted it after taking over two settlements of Denmark (or Denmark gave them away to Russia in order to get a ceasefire treat, I am not sure).
    • I sent two spies to near Hamburger and checked what happened out there. Poland declared war on HRE after it suffered great loss in Denmark after a few turns. But it got little profit since HRE sent most reinforcements in its direction. Now it turns out that Denmark is fighting back with armies probably came back from Russia frontier and its armies are rampaging in Northern Germany and German cities are falling to Denmark’s hand.
    • I was the only enemy of France from the beginning to the end until I killed the last king of France (I killed a lot of kings and heirs in battles) near Bruges, Aragon and Milan are moving in and growing fatter by taking over rebel settlements which were original French cities (there are 7 of them). But my Spanish Sister-in-law has been sitting there from the very beginning of the game and has not sent one soldier onto French soil to help me. She got no war with anyone. :hmmm:
You see, AI factions are picking their enemies very carefully and seeking to avoid fighting multi-frontier wars.
So, it is really challenging even I kicked out France in 25 turns on H/VH setting.

I am not a moder and just wondering if there are any ways to give the AI factions which are at war with human players several free generals every say 10 turns to make sure we are not fighting with nobodies (captains) all the time.

By the way, I was lucky that France got excommunicated by Pope at the 3rd turn.

I face endless waves of generals as Aragon fighting the Moors, they must adopt hundreds because I kill a minimum of one a battle -- if Im sure to lose, my men always take the enemy general with them. Fes alone saw the blood of 7 Moorish sultans within ten years. So I think they can
