I'm running SS5.1, with fixpack 1.5 (don't want the WiP stuff in new years pack) with Point blank's beta RR.

Problem may not be related to any of those as I seem to remember getting something similar with vanilla M2TW. or maybe it is.

The system log gave no clues - last entry 4 minutes before CTD. got the grey box unspecified error. which suggests it's not related to any mod?

ANyway what happened was I had 4 family members in Bordeaux with some troops and I wanted to split them so some could go on crusade. I selected 2 family members and some troops and tried to move them out. CTD.

Reloaded and moved the garrison out which left the ones I wanted to move out inside so I could then move them out. Created the crusading army but it only had 1 general (even though 2 were supposed to be in the stack) Boarded them on a ship and found the second general had been left behind and so loaded him separately.

After that we had a few turns of OK-ness, the first general fought the battles and the second one kept out of sight. The crusade was successful and I was left with 1 general in charge and the other one wasn't. The egyptians counter-attacked the next turn and in the battle the general who was i/c jerusalem was killed along with nearly all the garrison but they hung on for a victory. Next turn the faction announcements showed the invisible general was now king of jerusalem. But he wasn't in the garrison roster. Not that it mattered as the inhabitants rebelled and kicked them all out - and then the prog CTD'd again.

Seems once you get an invisible family member sooner or later you get a CTD?
