Hey guys, you know that I think this mod is great but I was wondering, what do you think of making carthage economically stronger? So, if you're playing as WRE and happen to lose the African province, you'll feel a deeper impact on your finances. Right now, IMO, Africa has a big potential but it's not economically speaking the "Roman bread basket". Actually you have to invest a lot of money in it to make this province an important source of income. I think that by increasing its financial revenues we would have something more challenging, because if we lose this province the empire would be almost doomed. What do you think?

Well, it would reflect the historical importance given to the African diocese - at least according to Peter Heather's account, anyway. It was the main income source for the WRE and its loss to the Vandals had a direct impact upon the empire's ability to maintain its armies and keep the Senatorial class happy and free from excessive taxation.
