Aragon in custom battle

is it just me or are catalans not available in custom battle? because i really want to have a good look and muck around with thier units..its how i pick my campain factions

There's just not enough slots for all factions to be present there. Blame CA.

ah kk....is it possible to change that? like swap a faction for them?

Yeah. It's possible. They were added there somehow. I don't know how though. Sorry.

Kozak, I just did that myself so I can help you out.

1) open the file called "descr_sm_factions.txt" in "Total War\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel\data"

2) scroll down to find Aragon & change "custom_battle_availability" from "no" to "yes"

3) IMPORTANT: then change another faction's "custom_battle_availability" from "yes" to "no" so the game wont crash

4) save the changes & you're done!

but i have a problem with my computer...it doesnt let me edit txt documents...i have read only unchecked so that aint the prob but it comes up sayin it cant make the file when i hit save and it says check file name and path are correct...how do i fix this?ny1 know?

this isnt necessarily a SS problem as i cant edit the origional vaniilla descr_strat

you have Vista right? you must cut and pste it to the destkop make your changes save and put the new file in the right folder

What's wrong Vista, you cannot edit text files with it? I heard Vista is absolute scat, but never thought it is so much!

i hav xp on my computer but i got this laptop and it has vista...when i figured out what u ment then sortin the files became easy
