Eb with Vista?

Im planning to upgrade to Vista but would Eb have any problems with that?

I am playing on Vista x64 without any problems, maybe partly because of having disabled UserAccessControl (the only way of having permanent real administrator access), since this prevents any problems with access rights on folders. I am well aware of the decrease of system security that is caused by this. You just have to know this risk (well, it just means that you are no more protected than using XP and I never hat any specific security problem beginning with DOS and Windows 3.

I have/had no problems with EB on: WinXPx32/x64/SP2/x32/x64, and Vistax64/x32..

You should install EB in an RTW home outside of "Program Files", despite it being the default folder. Vista will send your savegames and at times other files to hidden locations under your userdata.

I have Vista 64 haven't done anything special and it runs great, most stable of all the mods i played even with XP. Just get the most recent drivers for your video card.

I had it on Vista 64bit - and it is the most stable and fast compared to any Windows - it's just that some very important software I use is not compatible with Vista x64 therefore I had to swich back to x86

i now use vista and it great you dont have to wait minutes to load the back. script it does it in secs

Yeah I use Vista without any problems. I did use a different folder than Program Files, though. I originally installed it in Program Files, but when EB was taking over a minute to get past the opening screen I thought there was a problem so I reinstalled. It wasn't until later that I found out this is normal

I've been playing EB on and off on my Vista laptop. No problems whatsoever.

Shouldn't matter, but I used C:\Rome - Total War\ I believe.
