Generals' Speeches

i must start off by saying how much i enjoyed the drive and passion of the generals' speeches form Rome; they were great.
now we come to M2:TW, a great game but i hate the delay time before the generla gets into his speech. u know how the camera has to show the general b4 showing the speech? it's good that the cine-editor went to film school but i find it's waste of time.
i want to hear the general's speech straight away-not hafta wait for it.

well, you just have to wait or skip the speech.

well the generals' speeches in Rome were always delive3red impeccably in that throaty hoarse brit type drill sergenat voice, which always garnered one's attention. i found them quite entertaining to hear
but in M2:TW not only are u made to wait forever to hear a generals' speech, they typically last all of 15 seconds. short and not even that funny or interesting, with the exception of the famous 'snake' speech

At least there's no faction which uses a clear American accent in M2 though...I refused to play the Romans ever again after suffering such injustice...

But they can be really funny. There is an entire thread about funny generals speeches. The saddest thing is that only the 5 starting factions get really nice ones. If you play the Turks you only get an one-liner.
