    Default Tips to raise authority?

What i've figured out so far about gaining authority:

    - Getting wounded in battle. Marks of war trait.
    - Political animal trait. (how does one get this? spies or assassin?)
    - Smart trait. (if i remember correctly)

Anyone got any pretty certain tips of raising your authority?

I have no problem with shivalry, command or piety. But getting a king with decent authority seems to be a *****.

    Thanks in advance.

Marrying an english princess helps. So does eliminating a faction.

Edit, I checked, it works for all princesses out there.

Actually it does not work with princesses of newly added factions (Ireland, Norway, Lithuania to name some that come to my mind, forgot if there are others as well).

That's because BBB hasn't been updated for the new factions.

    go to this directory
    \Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel\data

and open the text file "export_descr_character_traits.txt",
then search keyword "authority", it will tell you what increases/decreases authority.

Yeah. That's why you marry your heir to somebody of royal blood instead of marrying him to some random chick.

I never saw a lithuanian princess... Do they even have any?

It's something we could fix for 6.0. There was a mod a while back with eastern princesses. We could add chicks for muslim and pagan countries, they deserve that.

NO, no paranjas, they are ugly! No one will dig a woman in paranja, that would be completely ahistorical and unrealistic!

They just cut eastern princesses out of the game to avoid denying marriages between religions and flames...

Damn, marrying a hairy paranja-wearing slut should lower the chances of having children 99%...

Edit: And wouldn't it be ahistorical for Christian rulers to marry Islamic princesses?
