SSteel v4.1 dropped audio in mid game cannot restore

Hi,

Sound stopped while my kid was playing my game. It seems to be a SS problem due to the fact that I get sound using:

1. vanilla medieval
2. espn video in web browser
3. dxdiag music and sound tests

Maybe it's just muted in options?

When I start vanilla the launcher comes up with audio. When I start SS I don't get any audio for the mini story or any button clicks.

I just verified that audio is not muted.

Well it turns out the vanilla does not have sound, only the launcher does...so I'm uninstalling reinstalling vanilla.

This is really weird. You 100% sure it isn't muted in options?

yup, i even checked/unchecked the option to make sure.

this stinks!! Reinstall of vanilla did not solve this. I guess I'll start a new thread under vanilla tech support.
