Playing EB is one of the greatest joys of this past year, and I'm looking forward to learning, improving my play and getting even more RAM to make that thing run even smoother than it does now at 760Megs. Thank you for the extreme attention to historicity. One could get a Phd's worth of education from playing. The forum has been a great education in itself. What an amazing group of history gamers you are!

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I'm impressed you can get good play out of 760 RAM. Happy New Years (Eve)!

I was sick of the endless problems with mtw2 so decided to try out my favorite period in history, ancient Rome. I found Eb2 but realized it was some way from release, but thankfully I managed to get Eb 1 working after some problems (my pc needed some stuff doing) For once I've found a campaign that i want to play through to the end, i got bored of my vanilla saves by 200 BC. I'm at 214 BC with the Romani at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. The much more varied building and government structures along with the vastly improved battle ai give much more depth and strategy. The only problem is the bloody Audei keep invading .

Great job with the game guys

P.s The game runs fine on my pc

Probably using DDR2. I have 1GB of DDR and it is a bit choppy but still gr8.

I echo the sentiments of this thread entirely. For once a campaign that "feels" like the Classical era.

I am learning as much as I am enjoying.

A resounding note of gratitude to those who have made my $50 go such a long way!

I honestly feel that more effort went into this mod than Kingdoms

    ...and that's an understatement !

Seriously though, this is one of the best mods I've ever played, for any game and I'm sure everyone who plays it appreciates the huge amount of work that goes into it. Definitely worth a thumbs up

man, looking for a mod for RTW right now, and this looks hot! you guys certainly have great things to say about it as well. fits great for me as well, as I don't own BI, but apparently this is a RTW-only mod. suits me fine!

think I will try it this weekend.

Hmmm.... Youre speaking to a Teutonic FANATIC!! I thought Kingdoms in the Britannica and Teuton campaign was well done. Remember that EB mod uses RTW for a base. They wouldnt be able to make the game from scratch.

well, all mods are based upon an original game, so, I am not sure I get your point. I like Kingdoms, and played alot of it. All in all, I think the point is, that EB looks to have more time & effort placed into it than Kingdoms, that's all we are saying.

I keep going to Med2 with vanilla, mods and even kingdoms for the eye candy but i keep coming back to this mod. I could never uninstall it, well maybe when EB 2 comes out. Looking at Roman units and seeing how good they look with the Med2 engine makes my mouth water (and i don't even play Rome).

welcome to the forums! yeah, I know it's possible to play it with BI, but it's just not supported for that according to the FAQ, IIRC.

by crikey, I have to second the thoughts of the original poster. my gosh, is this a gem!! . someone here said this has/had more work into it than Kingdoms, and I think they are right.

Everything is perfectly done, IMO. Super congrats!

Just happened to stumble across this thread and I agree with what everyone before me have said. EB has truly been my best gaming experience ever and I've been playing the game long before 1.0 came out, enjoying every minute of it (even though I have to wait for like 5 min when I click next turn). But seriously, thanks for a great mod!!!

EB is as good as a mod can get, if games where like EB to beginn with noone would need mods...

me too, my initial load times and turn times are slower, but I don't mind at all. the enhancement in gameplay, diplomacy and, AI is more than worth it!!
