how to recruit mongol heavy lancers

i was wondering if anyone knows where from (city or citadel) one recruits mongol heavy lancers? I'm playing as the mongols and have reached a high tech level in both forms of settlement. i can recruit light lancers as well as the awesomo Khan's Guards but no MHLs. Is it a bug or am i being a bit front line infantry? Danke.

According to the export_descr_buildings.txt file, the Mongols can built them from the 4th tier cavalry buildings in castles. However, it also says you need a 'hidden_resource' for it.

Thank you Sher Khan. You are awesome indeed. I loaded up my mongols and shipped them to britain. Now i have the Isles in my possession but must make do without my MHLs as i sold off my ancestorial possessions. Thanks again dude. I'll remember to look in the file you mentioned next time.

Well, go to Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel\data\world\maps\base folder and open up descr_regions.txt

Find the region you want and add ", Mongol_Heavy_Lancers, Mongol_Heavy_Archers"

For instance, this is the entry for Nottingham

wow. now i can use my veterans who conquered the Isles. They have been languishing in cardiff for about 200 turns with just a few men in each unit left, but with lots of gold chevrons. They live once more! Thank you Lion of The Khans. I will name a Khan's Guard unit in your honour and protect it with my re-invigoured MHLs and Heavy Archers.
