A little help

I am trying to install Kanaric mod on my comp. Now I have download the mod, and I am trying to extract it to mod folder. For some reason my the mod will not extract though. The system come up with error messages saying it cannot find the file specified. I have dowloaded other mods succesfully, I cannot figure out why this is not working.

Try to download it again. It may be a download-error.

I tried that, but for some reason my computer seems to hate me.

I downloaded it on another computer, and it worked fine. But for some reason I cannot not exract it to the Europa Univeralis mod folder. I can extract it anywere else, just not their.

It gives me this message "IDII cannot not be accessed" then" Access is denied" Then the next line it says, "Cannot find the path specified"

I have no idea what is going on now...

Just extract it elsewhere and copy it in then

I know, that doesn't solve the problem, but it should work

Otherwise I'd be betting a permissions error that won't let you overwrite some EUIII files (though why a mod would need to I don't know); either that or it can't create directories there. No idea why though

Just a quick question about the Magna Mundi mod. Can you (re)form the Byzantine Empire? I think i heard it being mentioned somewhere around here and i'm just curious to find out. Perhaps i just came up with the thought myself, who knows?

And i am using the mod version for vanilla EU3, no NA that is.

EDIT: And yes, i have looked through the read-me's, and if the answer is there somewhere, i need my eyes checked.

Yeah there is no information about it in those chaotic readmes, but you can reform it. As Morea I got an event that let me choose between forming Greece or the Byzantine Empire. Greece has white as it's color and the Byzantines of course have purple and the Palaeologoi banner.

Here are the triggers:

@Aketi, you said you got an event where you could choose between forming Greece or Byzantium right? Well i just got an event asking me if i wanted to form Greece, but there was no mention of Byzantium :S

I chose not to form Greece, so can the Byzantine event still happen? Or will i have to reload and hope i get asked if i want to form Byzantium instead of Greece? Or have i missed some trigger? Like, do i have to hold Constantinople? (The ottomans are still holding it)

No you did it the right thing. If you want to form the Byzantine Empire, you have to decline the forming of Greece first. Your assumption about Constantinople is right, you need to own it additionally to one of these sets:

this one:

or this one:

(317) #Bursa

or this one:

(164) #Naxos
(320) #Rhodes
(321) #Cyprus

The only way to take it without having to annex all of the Ottoman Empire is using the occupied province game mechanics, but you probably know this.

Damn. The Ottomans are holding Constantinople and two more provinces that lie spread out on the other side of some Mamluk and Candar provinses in Asia Minor. I have been eating up the Ottomans piece by piece, then waiting for my reputation to drop between every war just so i can claim a few more provinses.

They have been impossible to vassalise until now, so i am working my ass off to get some military access so i can occupy their last provinces to force them into becoming my vassal, then wait 10 years, and bam, lé Byzantium is formed =D

PS. Manda Mugni is the shizzle! I have been funding the barbary pirates to many many years, but just recently a small quarrel escalated and they broke all contact with me and have started raiding my coasts. Not exactly a good thing,but certainly an interesting twist.
