    Default Football (aka Soccer) Discussion

This is a place to discuss anything about football (the greatest sport ).

Clubs, national teams, competitions, awards, players, injuries, transfers...
    Anything.

If mind is common to us, then also the reason, whereby we are reasoning beings, is common. If this be so, then also the reason which enjoins what is to be done or left undone is common. If this be so, law also is common; if this be so, we are citizens; if this be so, we are partakers in one constitution; if this be so, the Universe is a kind of commonwealth.

'Nothing is true, everything is permitted.' is merely an observation of the nature of reality. To say that nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say that everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

Damn, Berbatov scored 4 goals yesterday!

Well, we played like crap for most of the game, but Arsenal just got a nice 3 points at Everton 4-1. All I can say is... Eduardo is an absolute beast. Top goal scorer in the Czech league two seasons in a row, he didn't disappoint one bit.

    You mean Croatian league?

Somebody already said that but yes, I got it mixed up...

Doesn't look (as yet) there's too many people into Serie A here but if anyone does follow it, it looks like AC Milan has another great striker to add to the list in Pato. That makes for Inzaghi, Ronaldo, Gilardino, Pato up front with probably some of the best midfielders in the league to back them up... tasty.

    Inzaghi still playing

I don't really keep up to date with Serie with the passion I used to (Platt and Gazza era ) so I don't know how fatboy ( The Brazilian version ) is doing.

How did Ronaldo do last season ?

He's still scored his share of goals this season, considering how much time he'd had.

You know what's interesting, Mirco Crocop signed for a Croatian Football side. It's crazy how many things he's involved in in Croatia.

Unless it's something new I don't know about, he played two or three games for the club Cibalia from my sig, to show them support on they way back to first league.

He was similary active in parliament, being there when he could and doing very little.

And kudos to Eduardo, I knew he only had to get a chance at a real club to show what he's really capable of. National team is not enough.
Same goes for Klasnić from Werder Bremen, returning after two kidney operations.

And recently I saw Paolo Maldini play, I couldn't believe he's still playing.

Eduardo's playing well at the moment but he seems to be lacking genuine pace over a fair distance. He might have managed to get himself a promotion to the first team squad. I guess we'll find out when the team is picked for the Carling cup games against Spurs.

Chelsea have signed Ronaldhino and Anelka right? Seems throwing money at a problem does solve it.

No they are planning to. It's not transfer season yet. Ronaldinho will flounder in Chelsea's side unless they build a team around him.

Yes, I'm not too sure how compatible Chelsea is with his style of play.

They did? That would be quite formidable if so, especially once their entire roster is back and healthy. I'd only really heard speculation on the Ronaldhino transfer, I can't really envision Ronaldhino playing in the EPL either, that... feels odd.

And poor Bolton... they're struggling enough without losing Anelka, heh.

Scoreless match between City and Pool, Richard Dunne saved city big time.
(Yes, I was fortunate to see the game)

And Derby had 1-0 and penalty vs Blackburn, but Howard missed it and about 5 minutes later it was 1-2...

Well I'll have to wait 118 days to see live football again, unless I see a game in Milan. Meh, Roma on canal+ and streams ftw.
