YES ITS OUT NOW. I don't think these people from late 2005 need any more help... Just a thought.

    Default RTW Blood Mod

I install the blood mod for projectile units to my RTW game, its more fun and realistic, although the blood animation a little too exagerated.

But it makes the game a little more realistic to see enemy spilling blood when hit by arrows or javelins and you can clearly see how many were been killed.

I wonder if any one would be interested to create a blood mod for close combat, the stabbing, slashing of blades and you know the rest. Others might find bloody battle not cool, but it's war, and a little blood effects I think will make the game more interesting.

I believe the blood mod was determined to be finished a long time ago. There is no way to create the blood effect in melee battles, so what you see is what you get

Currently using Xgm. I could recommend that. I don't quite think this is the objective of this thread

Roman, I have a question: which mod would Napoleon most enjoy playing?

Probably NTW2, but no guarantees. He was a big fan of the Roman Empire, so maybe Roma Surrectum or SPQR.

Icon3 Any mods have this included?

If any mod has this stuff , tell me!:

Trumpets when marching, flutes and such?
More loud and heavy march sounds?
Thicker shields and weapons, not paper thin ones.
    More different battlefields.
Higher screams in battle, something like M2TW.
Where soldiers are encouraged by their comrades to watch their backs "Behind you!" like in M2TW.
More variety of battle music(Like 5-6 different ones)
More soldiers on the field with less lag.
No AI battle bonuses, like hilarious +4 morale.

    +rep for a good answer!

Please do not delete this thread until my question is answered, thanks .

Iberia Total War has some amazing sound work, including lots of screaming and grunting in foreign languages... we're waiting for the latest version of it, should be ready fairly soon.

This really does belong in the Mod recommendations thread.

It really depends. The majority of RTW mods released has a lot of dedication and effort invested in them.

Mod developers have worked hard and used their creative abilities and free time to make the public's RTW experience more enjoyable.

Honourable mentions for my favourite RTW mods would have to be RTR v1.9 and Europa Barbarorum.

What would you guys say is the best Roman mod script wise? I like doing Senate missions, and I love new events. I'd rather have a good storyline than a good challenge (call me crazy). So, what do you think?

I hear good things about Imperator, and SPQR is lots of fun (not sure if it has missions though).

    Hmm.

If you're new to mods, check out Lusted's TE. It's excellent, and its tailored to improve gameplay, not historical accuracy. So a great game for newbies, as well as us oldies.

I was just wondering if there was a small conversion or mod that changes it to where there is only one roman faction or if someone could be nice enough to tell me how to accomplish that. I know about rome total realism its a great mod and I like it but I prefer the feel of vanilla RTW. Basically to sum it up the only thing I really want changed is there to be one roman faction. Any and all help is appreciated.

XGM. Retains vanilla feel (for the most part, it does tweak it) but adds a couple new factions and plenty of new units. Also, unified Rome!
