Those nice folks at the Wiki provided an index for mods that use the ''-mod folder'' system.. (allows you to install multiple mods on one RTW) ..

Thats cool, very nice. They didn't have that last time I played either.
Halie it doesn't actually tell you how to put each mod into its own folder, is it as simple as it sounds?

How does the Mod-Switcher made by Vercingetorix actually work? I know it involves something about putting the data files somewhere, but I'm confused about it. And also, does it only work for mods with mod folders?
Sometimes you are forced to create the shortcut yourself though.
RIP Calvin, you won't be forgotten.
I didn't have a very good experience installing EB at all. Which is probably purely and simply down to my own stupidity. Installed RTW patched it up to 1.3 then 1.5 and installed EB down all the correct file paths.
When I loaded up EB it started telling me all sorts of things were missing (catapults and other siege related items) before I even got to the menu so I'm guessing those steps I listed above went wrong somewhere along the line.
I really need something like this. I want to get the lupos magma(sp?) that adds new settlements and more factions would be good. There's gotta be something like this.
I think that there is a map called Mundus Magnus, that could be what you are talking about?

XGM has all that you ask for, and has many other great things.
Roma Surrectum adds more factions and new skins and it enhances the game heaps.
I've always wanted some mods. I have BI, RTW, and Alexander. I just want an RTW mod though. My computer is already running low on space so I'm looking for a mod that doesn't take up too much spare, first and foremost. It's preferable that the mod doesn't require at least one of the expansions (hopefully both) so that I can delete them to save space on my computer. Secondly and just as importantly as the computer space comment, I need a mod that doesn't require anything more then Vanilla RTW does, specs-wise since I can barely run RTW on Large unit size. Here's what else I'm looking for:
1. More factions. This is an obvious one. However, no factions taken away, except for the Romans. Don't get me wrong, I want Romans still in the game, but I can stand the Romans not being broken up into four factions.
2. More units, nothing crazy though to the amount where each faction has mind-boggling amounts of units to choose from.
3. Does something about the Romans. I like the idea of three different Roman factions, I just think that they're too powerful the way they are. Perhaps break the alliance or give them weaker units
5. No Senate missions if the SPQR is in the mod.
6. No time limit for campaigns or at least the option to have no time limit.
7. Expands the map by a bit.
8. Balances out the factions to the point that each campaign is different, unpredictable.
9. Either no Rebel faction or it's made so that rebels don't just spawn randomly in your territory.
10. I don't care about realism. I do want it to be realistic to a point though. For instance, I don't want archers to be able to take on infantry in hand-to-hand combat or pikes to lose to cavalry. I could even play a LOTR mod if it fitted my requirements perfectly.
11. Adds historical battles.
12. Improves AI. Also, it's very important that instead of upping the difficulty level by giving the AI unfair advantages, like better stats or money out of nowhere like in Vanilla RTW that the AI actually gets smarter by every difficulty level.
The most important numbers above are 8, 1, 3, 9, 12 and 6 so if there isn't a mod that fits all of my requirements it should have at least those six in there somewhere.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'll move this thread to the pre-existing stickied-thread regarding Mod Recommendations.

Oh, sorry, didn't know this thread existed. Also didn't know that you were a mod. =P
I would appreciate some help though.
Well hardly any mod would fit all you requirements, but I believe Roma Surrectum fits pretty well with the descriptions:
1. It adds more factions
2. It adds a lot more unit types with new skins
3. It still has a rebel faction, but it's called Free People, and though you can't play it, it's like a real faction here, that does diplomacy, trains armies, conquers etc. So a lot better and real than the rebel faction of RTW Vanilla
4. It combines the Romans into one faction, but makes them more interesting.
5. More cities and regions to conquer
6. More movement points each time
7. Choice of change between 1 turn recruitment and 0 turn recruitment
8. No missions
9. Population spreading things that reduce squalor and overcrowding in cities.
10. Very fun![]()
