i got this messange while oppening the game (my first crash)

...nah, its just one of those vague error messages

No it means Medieval II has encountered an unspecified error and must now exit.

P.S. I'm just guessing at that but, German and English are lesbian sister languages.

Not really, German is a Germanic language (doh), English is Anglo-Saxon if I recall correctly. of course languages do use "lend" words from other languages.

Does anyone know why it keeps saying that error???

I get that damn error almost everytime I run the game, and I am getting SO tired of it! Is it SS which is the problem, or is it a random bug that happens to everyone?
I mean, its not very functional that the game crashes again and again!

Actually German English and Dutch form the teutonic language family.However, because of the Norman invasion English adopted many of its more intellectual words from the romance family vocabulary.

Therefore a bit more information would be useful:
Do you get this crash when you want to start a new game?
If yes, this would be an actually very well known bug (See first post of bugs thread - "menu crash") that can be easily avoided.
If this is not your problem in which campaign does it crash?
Which turn? which faction? ....

If I don't have any info I really can't solve such problems...

Though I cant answer for Swagger, I can give you some info, cause I think it is the same crash I experience! Only, I get the crashcode in english...

There are two types of crash so far, I have experienced in the recent version...

The game usually crashes within the first turn. It happens out of the blue, suddenly, the mouse pointer is dead. Though you can move it around, you cant press anything and the game seems like it stops!
It happens with every faction, but only in the strategical overview, not in battles. It happens for new campaigns, both early and late, and it happens when you open save games or autosaves.
The only thing I have seen which can help a little, is if you save regulary...
Sometimes, it crashes rather quickly.
BOOM
And then it returns to the desktop and gives you that error command!
Perhaps it is two seperate crashes!

The game can also crash in a kind of freezing, where the screen just turns black, though this doesnt happen as frequently as the other crash.

I hope that gave you a little overview of the problem... And if this is nothing like the problem Swagger is having, then sorry for interfering with this post.

i will..and yes it's in the menu crash..

sometimes it works..

but i also have crashes lot's of time in the menu (im using 5.0 version)
custom battle
etc
etc
etc..

Well I only say that German and English are sister languages is because I did read some books on German language arts and it mentioned rather quickly that German and English are very close languages.

And as for errors, I seem to suffer a lag on the campaign map. Delayed clicks, slow down when I try to read messages (the border of the message appears, but the the message doesn't).
