The Entire Royal Family is Gay!

In my English campaign the King and every single General has a Foreign Fruitcake in their retinue and a trait that clearly indicates they aren't interested in women. So far I have been okay with succession because I have managed to adopt heirs (all of whom somehow acquired Foreign Fruitcakes within a couple of turns), but this has been going on for three generations now. Is this going to cause any serious problems? Am I doing something to make them get these traits and retinue or is it just random and an amusing coincidence?

As far as i know, it is quite random but if one gets this trait somehow others start getting them, maybe if 2 guys, fruitcake and non-affected person were in same settlement, the fruitcake showed the other his.. partner and somehow convinced the other to join him...

It is quite annoying to have it in your royal family, and it is removable with console cheat, that someone will probably say later in this thread. I cannot remember any, something like remove_trait but after that i dont know what do you need to type for it to work :b

Ive had this kind of "problem" before, it seems that you either have no fruitcakes, or an army of fruitcakes.

You get the foreign fruitcake if the following conditions apply to your generals:
- He is married
- His chivalry is lower than 3
- He does not have the Loyal trait
- He has been in an enemy region for more than 3 turns

So you can work around it by using "give_trait this Loyal" in the console if you have selected your general. Or use "remove_ancillary this adultress_foreign" instead.

I doubt you will run into serious issues, you may get less children in your family tree (due to the decrease in fertility).

Ive never got this trait but if you are anything like me you run out of generals when you have a big empire so i can see that this might be a problem, or it would be in my games.

I had a problem once where every family member got a trait that made them dress like Muslims. I forget its name, but it made other European factions dislike me.

Think it may have been a trait put in by a mod. As I don't recall ever seeing it again since that one campaign. I tried to adopt a new heir family member and then kill the entire royal family to stamp it out. But the new heirs sons ended up with it as well. Was really strange.

You have to end the problem before it spreads, take a skilled assassin, hold in alt while right clicking on the gay general, then kill him.

You cannot kill your own stuff with assassins in van. M2, even with alt*.
You're using a mod or something?

* - taking an assassin and alt-rmb on:
- princess opens a window saying no valid targets in the princess ;p
- general does nothing
