Here is an idea that could make your already vey cool mod even more impresive.
The area of north africa has always been very boring, and the moors faction has been almost untouched from its vainilla version. I think It would be cool (i have no idea if its historical though) to add extra deph to the area, maybe by dividing the moors into two faction, a more african version settled in north africa and a more westernized version in southern iberia.
This would make it much mor fun to play any of the factions in the area. And might makke it a bit harder for the italian factions that expand into africa.

I guess you could split them into the Almohads and the Almoravids. But they would generally be the same units only different colored to represent two separate factions. I think Socal is trying to stay away from cloning one faction to make another, unless they had vastly different units.

This would make it much mor fun to play any of the factions in the area.

The Iberian Moors should actually be the equals of the Pourtagese and Spanish troops. The African Moors should have the pike wall ability or given Darth Vader's AI Formation mod for their spearmen. All other's AI Formation mods just don't work with spearmen, the result is the Spearmen separate and are ridden down instead of staying together and massacring the knights.
