Darth Mod Troubles

I asked this question in the troubleshooting section, but no one responded, so I thought I would make a thread.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed earlier but I was not about to go looking through all the threads.

I recently installed Darth Mod 8.0 over RTW Gold (BI is not installed as of now). I downloaded it and installed it into "The Creative Assembly" folder. Unable to find a specific Darth Mod icon, I simply used the regular RTW icon to get to the game. Upon reaching the main menu, I go to Single Player and click "Imperial Campaign".

Every time I click that, a message comes up saying "Please select an item from the list." There is a check mark right below that which when clicked, does nothing essentially.

So is there an alternative way to get to playing Darth Mod that I am missing? Should BI have been installed before hand? Any help is appreciated ahead of time. :original:

did u make a clean install of rome? because if u make a clean installof rome and then install darth mod 8.0 and after that darth mod 8.1 u will face no problems for sure. that's what i have done and it works perfectly so far.

when u install the mod in the creative assebly folder, u must also include the subfolder of ROME - TOTAL WAR.

I made a clean install of Rome TW Gold. Still no luck.

Do I access the game through the regular RTW icon? Because I don't see any other icon or application to access the game. I'm getting the same error message, "Please select an item from the list" whenever I hit Grand, Imperial, or Provincial Campaign. I assume I'm supposed to use Disc 1 of RTW.

I made sure to place the Darth Mod installation in the Rome sub-folder, so I'm a little complexed at this point.

yes you access the game through the regular button of RTW icon.
i had a similar problem with you when i had installed the barbarian invasion and i had tried to install the roma surrectum. in my laptop i had just RTW and the mod was working fine. in my desktop i had RTW and BI so i had the same message with you. so i was loading the game from the barbarian invasion icon if i remember well. that's what i think. can u try again and see? just check again if u installed the mod in the right path!!!
