Re: Guides
The idea I have is to start an XGM guide section (possibly in the place where "XGM AARs" are ) like there is in the org for all factions, you understand my meaning?
What do you think?

Re: Guides
life stinks as a peasant! ;-) You need to ask a moderator for a sub forum e.g. Dime Bag Ho.

Re: Guides
Well, if you have a forum, you'll have more support.
Also, write up a guide for a faction now, a mod can move when there is a sub-forum.

Re: Guides
If you take a look a few pages back, you'll see alot of discussions about factions like the seleucids or carthage. The aar's are actualy your idea implemented - mostly for greece

Re: Guides
Kara Kolyo is right in essence. There can be no definitive guide to playing a faction in a Total War game, it all depends on style. Therefore, the AARs, being an expression of style, are guides to a certain way of playing the game.
However, I sincerely doubt that anyone could make an absolute guide for any faction. If everyone followed that guide, this mod would come precariously close to heart stopping boredom.
Cy out.

Re: Guides
Of course different tactics work for different people. It would not have been a "step by step" guide to playing a faction. Just a place where people can express their opinion so infact it would create a stir of renewed exitement in the mod. You only have to look how popular this is:

Re: Guides
The numbers tell the story and do not lie. I don't think it is a "bad" idea, I just don't want to see anyone put that kind of effort into a project, then have their desired fan base give a tenacious "meh".
If you think it'll be worth it for yourself or the community, go for it!
