this may seem like a stupid question but does William Wallace Emerge when scotland is no more?

I sure will
So I made it to turn 130 (lots of autoresolve on medium, so easy). I conquered Scotland and England by turn 30. In turn 40 France finished up what was left of English... I won 5 crusades, been excommunicated twice, two my kings caused revolts. Playing there is so BORING.
Now I have all the England, Scotland and Wales... and Wallace didn't show up. I don't know when exactly he should do it but in my Lithuania campaign (I'm in 132nd turn) he showed a while back so I'm well past this moment already.
So your answer is, no, doesn't show up when there's no Scotland.
Maybe you can't spawn a faction which existed but was destroyed? Or maybe it's just a bug?
It's a shame cause I really counted on this battle.
By the way, Irish roster is insanely weak. They have 7/21 heavy swords but with only 30 men in a unit, they lack *normal* cavarly, they don't even have third tier archers (at least 2nd tier are decent...), they have no crossbows, they can't have templars and joannites (bug?), their militia is terrible and galloglaich, their top tier city unit is a joke in the era of crossbows and gunpowder, generally all the militia they have is a joke too.
For me Ireland is the worst faction on the map with weak roster and boring location.
Also, another observation, don't play on medium, by turn 130 I have already half a million bucks and don't really need to spend it on anything.
Wallace shows up ONLY when you conquer Edinburgh from Scotland with England. I have done multiple campaigns and this is the only way. Wallace comes with 2000 infantry and archers, no match for my heavy cavalry.
When he showed in my game, I just built a fort west of Edinburgh. Predictably he attacked it an overwhelmed the handful of defenders I had garrisoned there. Meanwhile I build up two decent stacks from forces pulled from all over England whilst he camps in the fort. I lay siege and three days later he capitulates without a blow being struck.... his entrails decorated the walls of London for quite some days. Meh.
Which begs the question, why can't all the forces involved in the successful siege get one lousy point of experience for it? Geeze.
for now you will only see Wiliam Wallace and some spanish army.
BTW: 200st post Party!!!!
also have some;
