    there happy.

Even the campaign map lags and stutters, not sure why you needed to make the water more shinnier??

Alot of additional things all over the map are also uneeded.

btw, my pc is high end and still lags.

I play SPQR mod and no lag with everything on high.

The new campaign map water does not affect performance. I can promise you that. If you want to change back to the vanilla water though, you can find it on the EB website. What is causing the lag is the massive script, which you can play without, but no-one would advise that as you're not playing EB without the script.

What do you mean about more un-needed things on the campaign map? I don't quite understand that. What kind of things?

dude, my pc is only midrange and has a lagging harddrive and yes the loadingtimes sometimes sucks, yes it takes about 6 minutes to load the game and another 3 to load a save, and yes i have to defragmentate my pc each few days playing this mod or the loading times go berserk. but when well into the game the lagging generally subsides, sometimes i have a laggy turn but mostly it goes fine. if you dont like the map... well screw you its the best map i've ever seen (thats not meant offensive)... play SPQR, i personally found it not so detailed (in every aspect) but yes it doesn't lag. we love EB for what it is and yes it lags sometimes and when it crashes the long reloading is a real bugger but i dont see your point.

the water? c'mon, can you actually play medieval II on your pc? water doesnt look that much different to me, you can patch EB to keep the old water btw. i like all the details on the map, its the best friggin map ever seen, if you dont, look for another mod. its simple.

Oh no, you misunderstood. Your last post was very constructive. We talked it over as a team and we all decided, after full consideration of your arguments, to never work on such a large pile of rubbish as EB ever again. It was foolish indeed it spend many hours unpaid making this thing, researching indepth historical material to inform the many descriptions, buildings, unit, resources when the game is obviously an unplayable mess. Worse still is the fact that everyone else who plays EB is too kind and courteous to actually say this, but you, you have saved us from a fate worse than death and for that I thank you.

    ...

Or in other words, by changing the title you do not then change the content of your message which is painfully unuseful and unconstructive. When a game lags, do you always run to an appropriate forum and complain to the game's makers? Or do you reduce the settings and either enjoy it for real reasons for loathe it for real reasons. Yes EB is laggier than other mods, but that is because we pushed the RTW engine to its limit.

Wanna see a comparison of notable files between vanilla and EB
    Code:
                                        Vanilla EB
    export_descr_ancillaries.txt 155KB 346KB
    export_descr_character_traits.txt 251KB 6,703KB
    export_descr_units.txt 235KB 465KB
    export_descr_buildings.txt 133KB 13,232KB
    descr_model_battle.txt 185KB 689KB
    export_buildings.txt 1,071KB 6,528KB
    export_unit.txt 500KB 1,879KB
    export_VnVs.txt 358KB 2,793KB
    export_ancillaries.txt 147KB 447KB
So if you think its constructive criticism to tell us that the game lags on your PC because of unneeded elements on the campaign map, that you are obviously unaware of what constructive criticism is.

You should see me if it is a game made by EA, although I boycott those pricks hehehe

Now, my load times are uber fast, its only the actual battle and campaign map. I dunno what you have done to it but common sense (which you seem to lack) would tell you something is up and needs to be fixed.

I payed money for this mod by downloading it, the internet is not for free. I have every right to give you critisism, you are my slave and should make the game run faster.

Oops. I didn't see the other thread. If I had, I'm sure that I wouldn't have been so polite.

Foot - I think that it's also appropriate to add that the script is 11,962 KB.

If battles lag, play them on 800x600. Graphics do not a game make.

Nah. The comment is so over the top that it can't be serious. However, since I don't see anything constructive coming out of this thread either, I second your request for a lock.

    Aye, lock please.

But please EB team, don't ever listen to this guy. You know it, we know it, EB is the best there is.

Nah, I don't think the EB team really is paying attention. The half of it is ignoring him, and the other half is laughing, I think.

To the OP: most people thoroughly research a mod before downloading it. It makes sense to check system spec requirements and to read over difficulties others may have had with a particular mod.

Why didn't you do this? The scripting lag with EB has been known for.....oh....YEARS.....and many other things. You have to make a decision whether or not to get the mod based on these factors. And I am unsure as to how many threads have been created on the issue.

Next time do some preliminary research zinrohk
