Default So you want to know what the hell are Vajradhatus...

    http://www.heart7.net/handbook.html

This is the US Army Chaplain's handbook on select religions. Pretty much it contains basic information about obscure religions, specifically ones present in the US that a Chaplain may run accross. Its section on Wicca is widely referenced in explanations of that religion.

Edit: Please move this to the Ethos.

Edit: Not really obscure, but mostly any religion not traditional Protesant, Catholic, or Orthodox Christian.

Yeah...I mean Sikhism and Islam are hardly 'obscure'. I like this bit:

"Beyond these principles, Satanists generally oppose the use of narcotics which dull the senses, and suicide, which cuts off life (the great indulgence), and stand firmly for law and order. The Church of Satan is not to be confused with "Satanist" groups which have been found to engage in illegal acts."

    Devil worship is illegal?

No, they mean people who go into old buildings in the woods and do nasty things too animals.

In my boy scout days we came across a burnt clearing in the woods, with rocks in the shape of a pentagram (of course, scary to us good Christian kiddies at the time), and there were dead squirrels crucified to trees.

As I said in my edit I noticed it was all non-mainline Christian Religions.

But what they mean are the Satanist groups which are reported to commit ritual sacrifice and criminal acts are not to be confused with the Church of Satan.

I've got to give thumbs up to this. I'm now thinking about joining the Temple of Set. Seriously.

I know very little about army chaplains and have always associated them as either Catholic or Protestant. Apparently there are some Muslim chaplains as well. Are there pagan (Wiccan) chaplains too?
