I'd like to make an X-Mas present/teaser

Hey guys, I'd like to see if you think it would be okay to pack up the 3 early roman units, hastati, princeps, and triarii, for the fans to use either in the upcoming 1.5, or just to drop into their current install. They'll just be the original style models with some of my weapon/skin updates, maybe even some special "one off" stuff that won't be in RS2, but something to give em a tangible taste of the detail many of our models will have. I figured something small like that may really boost "morale" in the camp, and I thought just in general it would be a neato thing to do. A gift of skill, not money

What you guys think?

Also Burn i thought you were going to help out on some of my Spartans ?

Maybe you can ,once your free do a few mercs ? that Spartans recruited ?
I know you been busy with the Romans which me and DVK love!

If you do, don't tell them what specifically are in there. Just say a new unit or two from RS 2 has been added. Can you find it?

I was just figuring something that I could post on X-Mas day, that they could drop into their installs, no fuss or editing. Theyre not gonna be RS2 units per-say, but equal quality. Maybe I'll only post it on X-Mas day for whoever visits the forum, then take it off....hmmm.....

The problem is that I just fixed the unit cards to match Roman units in battle. That was a complaint that motivated this update. So if they have no matching unit cards...I would rather this not be 'broken' again. The UI is, however, expanded, so they could be included.

Well, they don't *have* to install these. they'll be a nifty thing someone can drop straight in their data folder. completely optional. I'll likely keep the skins pretty much the same. just a few tweaks, so the unit cards would be fine neways.
