    Default Animations.

    I gues this has been a bit of an issue ever since I started playing medieval 2, but I never really looked for a solution.

    At the intro movie and also the movie that shows when you start up a new campaign, I see a lot of great combat animations, but ingame I never saw this.

    The good animations seem to be rare, the soldiers hit more air than each other. I see them deflect blows that dont even land on them, and they often push and shove without hitting their enemy. Its like the contact is somehow rather off.

    Is there anything to fix this though? does this depend on settings? or is there a mod out there thats compatible with stainless steel to fix this?

    yeah it' s nice if this can be fixt the air fights are a bit dessepointing

    there isnt much info on animations there and the great amount of spelling mistakes in the author's post doesnt make me put much faith in it to be honest.

    thanks for the link though, but I prefer something thats just animations, I fear that the mod in the link would conflict with SS.

    There is also the Animations Pack by Signifier One:

    It adds and changes several animations.
    If I get permission from him I may include this in the next version.

    It should be compatible with SS 5.1, but I havn't tested it yet, so backup your files if you intend to try it out.

    Thanks King Kong, I will take a carefull look at that one to see how it works, if it looks too difficult I will wait to hear about you getting permission or not.

    It's not that difficult really, and if you installed SS 5.1 clean there will be nothing to overwrite, at least when I installed it.
    If I can't cheat, how will I get through school???

    It could change balance between units in combat also.

    It seems to be a rather early version so I will wait a bit to see how it goes, thanks for the link though.

    Yes its true inhuman, but if you follow that thread you'll see that raven darkwing will convert the whole thing to SS, until he gets permission further on to do it.
    Niko said that he will allow that, after it has been released for some months.

    ah thats good news. I am sure it will take quite some time before SS 6.0 will be ready so King Kong could really take his time to work out all the problems at his leisure.
