Default late era teutons= reskinned HRE, wheres the love?

so i just downloaded the stainless steel mod so i can counquer the world as the teutons so i start up the campaign looking forward to the difficulty that they are posed with but when it loads up i notice a few nagging problems. so it starts up and the first thing i noticed was that all my generals wear the armor of the hoichmeister, now i can live with that but there are other problems.another thing is they are ALL speaking about the empire and the kaiser and such from the HRE, cmon why couldnt you just put in the teutonic voices. but even that i can stand but if there is one thing that really kills me its the fact that in stainless steel you got rid of what i thougt would make an interesting grand campaign was the teutonic religous restrictions. now for some reason i can just go nab someones citadel and hey look i can train ritterbruders a highly trained, anti everyting but catholic, religous fanatic out of cairo. in an all islamic part of europe! makes total sense. so after about 3 hours of campaigning i just realized that basically im playing as the HRE with a slightly different color scheme and funny looking helmets. i havent got a chance to confirm this but i believe i was able to expand my towns in to the large and huge catergories. now if its really hard to throw these modifications in there i can understand but seriously i feel like the teutons got kind of shafted in this mod. now if im the only one who feels this way ill shut up but i just wanted to throw that out there

I didnt have any troubles with them, I personly hate areas of recruitment and such, exept for mercenaries. I just see it different perhaps, when a city is taken I figure they let the supplies and equipment be delivered from other provinces to train these soldiers, it taking some time after you take a city for the units to become available would represent the time it takes to deliver these supplies.

Their roster is nothing like the HRE roster so I really dont see much in common with the two of them.

They dont have any zweihanders, gothic knights, imperial knights, reiters, arquebusiers, feudal knights, etc. There are very few units that they both have.

The voice files might have been a bit big, I believe that the kingdom of Jerusalem speaks french but I might be wrong there. The soundset of the HRE would be most suitable for the teutonic order if one had to be chosen thats not the original.

I fail to see why it's a problem for you to train teutonic units from formerly muslim settlements when it doesn't seem to be a problem with other factions.

I believe what hauptmannoverlord was saying was that he looked forward to the added difficulty of having to train his forces at home. Personally I agree that training some units abroad is just silly, camel gunners in Moscow springs to mind. Some people prefer an AOR some do not, there are arguments on both sides as to wether its valid, the only real argument that both views would agree on, IMO, is that it does make the game more difficult.

well you can choose to recruit whatever you want to, nothing is forcing you to train ritterbruder in tunis, camel gunners in moscow or highlanders at Sicily.

Well the AI could use the extra strenght, and you as a player can learn restraint.

I personly never recruit many knights for example. They are the strong elite, making an entire army of them will lower them to the status of common soldier.
