Default As a moral issue, should we end Christmas and change to a greener holiday?

Environmentally and both as a waste of energy and resource, Christmas must end. I call on anyone to prove me wrong. Christmas is a tool of Shaitan.

pssh, name 1 thing that isn't a waste of energy and resources. If people wanted to simply live, we'd have a much better time as subsistence farmers.

Christmas is a frivolous waste of massive proportions. The fertilization of the ovum that became Einstein was not a waste of energy and resources, to answer your question.

    Lol.

Its obvious you are a flamer, and this will have no productive end.

And you know what would make the Earth really green? If all Humans died.

No more usage of resources. w00t!

Why is that? Strictly speaking he wasn't required for human survival. In fact, he was quite insane.

Then your birth, surely, at least in your opinion was not a waste, was it?

I assure you I am straight and most things are so.

Would it at this point consider what we have produced which we keep in check?

The day that this happens is the day I shall continue to celebrate with my family, and worship together. As I get older and older, gifts do not matter as much as the true meaning, the birth of the Messiah unto this sinful world.

Gifts do mean less with age though I find I more and more enjoy the selfish pleasure of giving.

Wasn't Jesus born in March according to Christianity?
How does one calibrate a birthday? Sounds Pagan, are you a Chriswiccan?

Of course, but this is not my opinion.

In the grand scheme of things living a 'green' life is not important to me. Since my life revolves around giving myself an enjoyable time nothing I derive pleasure from (christmas) is a waste to me. If I feel that spending $200 on a ring for my mother is a good expense, it is, even if it might be a waste on a 'greener earth'. (since, after all, I totally destroyed the environment to get that gold)

Is winning the war in Iraq and bringing our soldiers home important to you, because if we didn't waste so much on Christmas we could conclude the Iraqi situation far faster. Also, we could donate the money to finding a cure not more treatments for AIDS, thus making orgies easily obtainable again.

**** Christmas, my plan means clean earth for our great etc children and nonstop orgies, yours equals gadgets for faster computer speed and . I like my plan better. Agree to disagree.

Of the things that are worth celebrating, birthdays are one of them. At least they arn't stupid like easter and Valentines day.

Not in the least. **** iraq.

Also, we could donate the money to finding a cure not more treatments for AIDS,
No drug company is looking for a cure. If you cure someone for $10,000 they get to go. If you put someone on treatments that cost $500/month for the rest of their life, you just created tons of money for your company.

Your plan just means that your great grand children get to destroy the earth (face it, its gonna happen some time) and less fun for me. While simultaneously giving christians something more to whine about.
