Push!
There is no way RTW can be mod so hoplites not in phalanx formation can have the "PUSH" but still in orderly fashion?
What I mean is the phalanx pikemen in phalanx formation with defensive mode, they stay. Disable the defensive mode they will push forward little by little in orderly fashion. But EB hoplites don't use the phalanx special ability anymore (I will not mod that).
If no, is it due to RTW engine limitation? EBII using Kingdom can have that?

Re: Push!
In other words.....the addition of the short_pike attribute in the EDU to hoplite units. This attribute tends to lend itself to a tighter formation so to speak. Also of note, any unit affixed with this attribute, will use shorter spears as oppose to any other hoplite unit that doesn't happen to have this attribute given to them.

Re: Push!
Thanks konny and lysander13. But I hate the short_pike attribute. The front row always hold the spear pointing forward. The back rows hold the spear pointing upward with angles. If they hold spear under hand somehow still look ok, but over hand looks they have soft tissue bones with twisted hand.
EDIT: And under hand spearmen are not suitable for "Push" attack, I remember TROY, the trojans pushing back greeks with large shield and over hand spear after they established a "hold" against the first wave attack.

Re: Push!
Yes, the back rows holding their spears upwards is the downside of the short_pike attribute. But it is the only way to have real Hoplites in EB, not just a Greek version of Germanic spearmen or Thureophoroi without javelins.
