I'm playing vanilla and just curious


1) Do you eventually stop getting the "x" (two swords crossing) which signifies a "famous battle" displaying the year and victor/loser? I ask because I have had several heroic battles, none of which have yielded me the "x" for some time (truthfully, its been so long I can't remember when was the last time I got the "site of a famous battle" marker).

2) I know there is a ratio as to how many generals or family members you can have compared to the number of cities and castles you control. But recently, I have lost one of my family members to old age and seized control of three castles and two cities (five new regions total). I was hoping on getting the man of the hour, an adoption, or male suitor for a daughter notification but never did. So does this occurrence get less frequent as the game goes on?
