Default Watching cities on the battle map

I was wondering if i can change the citizens that roam around the city. They look like they are controlled by the roman peasant unit (at least for roman and greeks)Also can i add more people on that, like watching few soldiers roaming the city, or slaves etc . Also is there any modification on the buildings??:hmmm:

    Yup, you can change them.

Unfortunately I can't remember the file at the moment. Its one of the files in the Data folder. desc_character or something like that. I'll look it up and home and figure it out.

I think you can have up to three different types of units walking around. I tried messing around with the numbers but it seems like they don't really decrease or increase the amount all that much. I tested just have a few priests or guards walking around and it seemed like they were everywhere. They all use the same animation I however.

Ramashan was partially right, its in the data folder. You want the descr_lbc_db.txt file, which it located in the data folder. If you follow the rhythm its pretty easy, just take an existing entry for a faction like Egypt: (Make a backup first!)

    Code:
    faction egypt
    model egyptian_male_peasant 40
    model egypt_female_peasant 60
And take the second line. Replace the model entry with another from descr_model_battle.txt, save, and the unit will show up in the city view. The end result for that could be something like this:

    Code:
    faction egypt
    model egyptian_archer 40
    model egyptian_nubian_infantry 60
That will give you Egyptian archers and Nubian Spearmen.

Thanks for clarifying Roman Man3. I knew it was possible, just don't have an encyclopedic memory of the files like you do.

Well, I had to quickly glance at the file to make sure I got the letters right.

thanks a lot, but what was that on the limit of characters available, it means i can only add one more?

Ok it seem to me that these 60 and 40 are percentages % ( lucky men). I tested that if you add another unit for example greek_hoplite with 40, it does nothing probably because it goes up to 140%. If it is so you can practically add every unit you want as long as it does not exceed 100%. For example 60 female_peasant 35 male peasant and 5 greek_hoplite...testing it

YES!!! Totally working, you can add every unit you like as long as the overall percentage does not exceed 100%. Hey you want a cit under martial law? Fill it with soldiers, though they appear on the battle map unarmed. Still looking good though

    Merged triple post. -RM3

Thanks ramashan! It turns out you can even add dogs, pigs, elephants and horses. Quite funny. Is there any pack out there that mods the buildings? i have only seen one but it seems it only works with EB.
