What Do You Like From Every Major Religion?

So which positive aspect of every religion do you like most?

As for me,

Islam: I like its emphasis on the oneness of God.

Christianity: I like its emphasis on forgiveness.

Judaism: None so far due to unfamiliarity.

Buddhism: I like its emphasis on the abandonment of worldly desires.

Hinduism: I like its teaching of living best in life in the hope of better next life after reincarnation.

How can you be unfamiliar with Judaism if you know Islam and Christianity?

Christianity =Judaism + Hellenic Philosophy
Islam = Judaism + Christianity + Ritualistic Bedouin Religion

(i.e. Christianity and Islam are simply cults that sprang out of Judaism -- they're actually sub-religions)

Anyway for me any philosophy that doesn't have compassion as it's central tenet is not a religion -- so that's what I like about all listed.

And just to be fair . . . all of those religions are affected by Hinduism (especially religions with a mediating savior like the commonly practiced Buddhism and Christianity -- they probably in some form or other are descendants of Hinduism.)

Anyway, I like the same thing about all religions that I like about anything else: the hot women in the funny outfits and the drugs.

Different rituals than Christianity and Islam, savior hasn't come yet, for orthodox sects there's no after life and they (orthodox) believe that the Jews alone are chosen by God -- otherwise the general teachings are pretty much like Islam and Christianity because that's where Islam and Christianity got their teachings from.

Islam : the overall "feel" of the religion (can't really pick a single thing).
Christianity : church ceremonies
Judaism : the togetherness of jewish communities (at least where I live)
Buddhism : peace and compassion
Hinduism : culture and religion intertwined

Islam- strong group mentality, Muhammad(pbuh) seems to have been a really cool guy, its really cool to watch muslims perform salat, Their holy book is a really long poetic masterpiece.
Christianity- jesus is my home boy, i have alot of clergy in my family, most of all i'm christian.
Judaism- its really old, its the religion my religion came from, they were funny hats.
Buddhism- has the same message and goal i think every religion actually has(enlightement, seperation from suffering and the material world) but none of the confusing concepts or devotion to a deity to distract people from it.
Hinduism- oldest religion on earth, embraces similar ideas as buddhism(as does Jainism)
Bahaiism- focus on peace and love
Sihkism- i don't know that much about it right now but it sounds very interesting
confusism- chinese people are smart

Animism/Shamanism/Dreamtime - Oneness with nature, a near eternal symbiosis, time is circular, we are animals, we need the earth
Hinduism - the acceptance of different approaches to Deity. I especially like those nude guys who wander around with boofheads and big beards.

I do like Wiccan and neo-pagan traditions for their emphasis on the land and on natural things; it makes humans far more interesting, ecologically aware, and self preserving when closer to their roots and natural essence.

Sunni: Emphasis on the the lack of prefectness in man and some other things.
Shia: Absolutely nothing.

Christianity: (too many different beliefs to give a broad assessment)

Protestantism: Marraige of religious leaders, focus on bible, Founder's emphasis on success in life, emphasis on community, emphasis on fun in Christianity and some other things.

Buddhism: Meditiation, emphasis on kindness, and some other things.
Theravada: Emphasis on the lack of perfectness in man, adherance to the Buddha's wishes, and some other things.
Mahayana: Nothing.
Vajrayana: (I dont know enough)

Judaism: Emphasis on the lack of perfectness in man, emphasis on community, emphasis to keep traditions alive, critical eye at its own history, and some other things.
Reformed: Allow intermingling with other peoples, lack of strictness, emphasis fun, allow for loose practices of Kosher, weekly prayers, any some other things.
Conservative: Same as reformed, emphasis on mutliple interpretations of the bible, piety without extremism, and some other things.
Orthodoxy: Very strong emphasis on community, pious in many good ways, and some other things.

Islam: Sufi Mystics really come across as a beautiful sect within Islam, their faith seeming to me much closer to what the reality of God might be.

Catholicism/Orthodoxy: It's hard to put into words, but the very respectful to heaven and the piety that feels to be a theme of either. There's an elegance to it that is very appealing. They do not cheapen God or make church feel like a circus the way some Megachurches do today. There is a rich layer of tradition, history, and ritual in them that feels very proud and elegant.

Protestantism: The rejection of the Pope as the head of the church, also for helping to spur on secularism in the West.

Hinduism: The attempt to marry the divided ways of believing (Polytheism, monotheism, more mystic approaches) into a single faith.

Buddhism: The very unique take on the existence of a god-like force. It does not seek to really repeat a polytheism with one god but to re-invent the wheel of religious thought.

Judaism: The dogged survivability of it's people, but more importantly the fact that hell is far less severe in Judaism, and that not believing is not context for simply being lost forever. I may be mistaken, but it seems that hell is more the purgatory of Judaism, that only the truly wicked and not the disbeliever suffers eternally. To me this is like the holy grail of faith, that a religion would not punish those who doubt or do not believe but remain virtuous.
