    Default renaming provinces

    I play campaign with Romani, and I 've decided, that I will rename to latin formation all provinces and their settlements what I conquered, in the interest of historical reality.

    For example: Kalabria,Taras (greek)--->Calabria,Tarentum (latin)

    Forasmuch, it possible only by the edit of the 'imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement.txt' file, so I 'm unsure its safeness. So, could be does this renaming any problem, above all whein I will load my savegame and activate the background script ?

    Thanks for answers.

    Yes, you will have problems with the backround script and the campaign script and the traits file, because some of our features are bot only using the internal names they use the external names, too. If you change the external names you need to rename them in the files mentioned above, too. This makes it a very complicated procedure. We have frozen province and city name changes for EB1, because it is simply to much work.

    You can just rename it in-game (not sure using RTW.exe, but definately with BI.exe).

    I use to change the Greek name of cities to Latin ones after I conquer them.

    IN PATROCINIVM SVB Dromikaites SVB MareNostrum SVB Quintus Maximus

    IIRC, that will still mess up the script.

    Yes. The script uses the external name to recognize the cities, so I imagine it will result in reform markers and A.I. governments not being placed.

    True. If you edit the external settlement names, you will get huge problems with the script, and later on, with the reforms (seeing that you play as Rome). Imagine being in 160 BC, still using Polybian Hastati.

    So, it's a pity you can't, but you can't!
